I wish I lived in Sydney man...
Independent service stations in new fuel discount war | The Daily Telegraph
SYDNEY will come to standstill tomorrow as a massive rebellion of independent service stations slashes fuel prices to below a dollar.
Traffic chaos will spread across the city, as small family run service stations protest what they say are big businesses running them out of town.
The move comes after small businesses rallied around Marie El-Khoury and her brother Elia in a bid to force the Federal Government to change the anti-competitive practices of oil giants.
Between 8am and 9am, up to 12 independents from Casula to Miranda will slash fuel by up to 40 cents a litre. SEE LIST BELOW
They will all lose money, up to $20,000 each, but believe it is worth it to stop big business bullying and predatory pricing driving them to the wall.
They were inspired by petrol crusader Ms El-Khoury's renegade act last week when she caused massive traffic jams on Sunnyholt Rd by dropping her prices to record lows.
Traffic stretched for kilometres and motorists queued for more than two hours to save $20 on their petrol bills.

"We want regulations to stop the bullying that is putting us out of business," Ms El-Khoury said.
"We have 20 independents, from different chains, who will go below 99.9c.
"The general feeling is people are not happy to do it and they will lose money to do it. But every independent petrol station owner said lets do it.
"We need to stop the bullying and the predatory pricing, we need the law imposed on the supermarkets as well as oil companies.
"Supermarkets are not independent, they sell to the public by saving on the docket, if you look at our prices we are a lot cheaper then them, you pay premium for the supermarket and then more for the docket."

Ahh, I just realised what time they were doing it. I'm not actually leaving Canberra until 10am, so I am safe. My comment on ACA still stands though.
