It was at Jubillee Pavillion at the Showgrounds which I thought was really good, heaps of space, pretty poor acoustics though.
Tell me if anyone went!!
not die hard fan but would like to see em
Im so ****ing jelous man
yeh i was thinkin bout not going coz i have yr 12 exams in less than a week and i didnt wanna get like sick from overexhaustion or anything. but i couldnt pass it up to see these guys live. so glad i went!
Haven't listened to them in years, saw them way back in 2000. They suck live. Good stage show but that's about it. I still have my Slipknot vinyls and poster signed by every member from the Jam Factory signing down here in Melbourne in 2000.
Liberate is always pumping in my car ahahaha
its weird they didn't play too many new songs...
i like their new album, something new is always good, after not listening to them for a few years, wouldve been good to know they were touring too! i didnt know =[
going to see parkway drive in december so it makes up for it.
my ride [ vt - no style ]
It's because they haven't released a good song since their self-titled album.
Corey's voice is completely shagged nowadays from too many years of alcohol, drugs and vocal abuse. I absolutely hate that band with a passion nowadays, but almost bought a ticket because Machine head were supporting, who are phenomenal live.
ur smokin it mate, machine head were dead boring in comparison. i agree that coreys voice was ****ed for subliminal, but i was totally surprised that he has his growl back last night. for the subliminal live shows his voice was weak and empty, but seriously, his growl is back, and his singing vocals were awesome too, didnt get out of breath or cut out half note or anything. was amazing. specially for his third night in a row!
Machine Head actually write and play solid music, opposed to needing 9 band members with masks belting crap on stage to put on a show. I've seen slipknot when they actually released a decent album (back in 2000) and Machine Head many a time. Machine Head in terms of music are far better live than slipknot, unless you're 14-18 and don't appreciate good metal. That being said, thrash metal doesn't appeal to you unless you're fan of old school metal in most cases
Ive never been into thrash metal. ill take a slow, heavy, crushing riff over a fast riff anyday. And you say it takes nine of them, well have you ever thought about how hard it would be to coordinate 9 people in a band and have it come together so well? I never really liked slipknot all that much until i saw the live dvd (disasterpiece). They put on a mad live show and no one can deny that.
you do know corey is the singer for stonesour too? and his voice hasnt changed abit- they went for a heavier tone for the vocals in the new album- plus they have grown older lol
as for the gig, i'm SPEWIN i missed it- a work m8 went and he said it was f**kin awsome ><
btw- always got something from slipknot going in my car, either self titled, or all hope is gone
Yeah it was mad. After seeing manson live i didnt think anything could top that but i guess i was wrong![]()
lol i saw them when they toured for subliminal a few years back and im a bit ****ed i missed them this time but its ok, im going to soundwave in Brisbane so i can make up for any missed head banging when devildriver play....
HAHA devil driver. ever seen the skit on scrubs lol gotta love devil's son!
