Now ive seen it all.... just saw a woman passanger in the front seat of a car with her probably 2 year old on her lap, with the seatbelt goung arond the front of the kid... if they hit something im sure the kid would be crushed. i dont understand how some people can breathe??
sadly we still see this stupidity all the time more recently I have seen the dumbarse teen mother in the taxi with the 7mth old in her arms, the mum and dad letting the two under 6yr olds running across the back seat and the worse one was at kfc drive thru the 4yr old girl laying across the rear parcel shelf in the family car.
what sh!ts me the most in the event of an accident these idiots cry blue murderand it was the other drivers fault the kid flew through the windscreen and we end up paying for it thru higher insurance premiums.

I am aware of that, but what makes taxi's safer than any other car? don't they have accidents? I wonder what would of happened to a baby last week when a taxi hit a wall and burst into flames on nth east rd hampstead gdns, I had a good look at the scene and there was not a skid mark any where in sight and judging from the damage to the wall and taxi he hit it in excess of 50kms/h.
I think that is one for the STUPID LAWS thread.

What I can't understand is when the child is in a car seat, but not restrained at all. Seen it many times where a child is standing up in their car seat looking out the back window of the car. I personally don't know how any parent could allow their child to ride in a car without being restrained in a suitable seat.
