Well it's actually a Chev. But some might say first late model Ford V8 with a decent V8.

Just a shame its in a rather heavy car (B-series Falcons are a couple of hundred kilos heavier than VT -> VZ Commodores, right?), though then again, you could also say the same thing about the VE.

Guy must really like his Ford... ya wonder why you wouldn't just sell it and buy an SS/XR8?

Agreed apart from the fact its not an 'XR' Series.
Just an XE or XF (povo pack). XR's have cut outs in the bumper for the headlights.

I'm just trying to figure out why? The Ford V8 can't have that much wrong with it? I've played around with a couple and never found an issue with them.
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!

    Ford V8 = Fail
The only way they make decent power (and times) is with a blower strapped on the side. There very average V8 engines.

ford can make some pretty nice 6cyl engines, and most of them put out more power than the holden 6cyl, but when it comes to the v8's they just cant seem to match the holden

And why wouldn't you? It's got good potential and the parts for them are endless......

Speaking of ford's and LS1's.....there was a blue XY in Street Machine a while ago, has a Gen 3 in it, the guy hooked the shaker up to it too. Did quite a neat job and he even commented that the mounts lined up with no modification!

That and the fact blokes have been putting Big Block Chevs into Ford drag cars for years :P

Certainly agree with you on that one about the endless amount of parts available for them!

Now if I could just keep a rear end in my old ute I'd be happy!

+ 60% who buy a Ford V8 end up selling it for a I6T. That's just a few years on Ford forums. And the rest spend 10k plus on building them into great powerful things.

Turbo I6 drivers don't mind showing their fellow Ford drivers with V8's how slow they are.
FPV GT past me like a mad man. Guy in the Tornado just sat back watching. Then out of the blue he blew past everyone and not a whimper from the GT - They know they can't match it.
