    Lawl.

I work with poker machine parts in the workshop, every now and then a stacker box will come in with some notes jammed into it. Last one that came in had $765 in it, they completely forgot to empty it before sending it in. We promptly returned it to the club.

Often $5 and $10 notes come in, and the systems used to account for the money have a certain margin of error, so they tend to disappear when the store guys bring them in. Or the notes get ripped in half in the motor that pulls them in, so either way the club ends up down a couple of dollars.

LightningVP... I'M bad luck? :O What do you mean by that? :O

And as to which machines to goto. Look for machines that havn't paid out and people have been putting a fair bit of money into. Once it gets too full it will have to pay out to clear the room in it for more money :P

Yes, people pour drinks in them. They also VOMIT INTO THEM. Someone else in the workshop here recently got a site controller (computer to control all the pokies) in faulty, with the fault tag "urinated on". These computers are back inside the cashier's cage, so the only way they could've ****ed on it would be to either get in there somehow, or **** THROUGH the cage onto the box. Compulsive gamblers can do some strange things when they have a losing streak.

You are a silly, silly person if you think gambling is going to get you anywhere I'm not about to ruin business for my employer, but logic should give you a hand in explaining why it's not a good idea

My dad is a field technician, I work in the workshop. He sends dodgy **** in, I fix it and send it back to him He regularly gets asked "can you fix this one next? It's not paying out" on just about every single job he's on heh. If you ever see someone working on one of those machines, DON'T ask them that, it will frustrate them to no end hehe.

The thing is, they literally believe he can do it. They seriously think he can just fiddle with it and program it to pay out 120% of what goes in. Doesn't work quite that easily

First time I went to the pokies I won 30$ and the machine didn't have enough...So the lady had to come do what they do, and there is an option to "change" how often it pays on....But not sure what machines it actually works for :S

Lol...you would never see me ****ing on a machine, or vomiting O.o lol

There is no option to 'change how often it pays out'. It cannot be done. You can change the percentage rate *over the lifetime of the machine*, but nothing useful. It can still only be set so high, the machines exist to draw money in, not give it out for free.

To the best of my knowledge the only machines in use in Australia are produced by AGT, IGT, Konami, Aristocrat and Pacific/Aruze. None of them can be set to pay out on any number of plays etc.

also found $5 on the floor of JB the other day, put it on my pocket only to realise it was mine to begin with and it had fallen out.

Lol nah mate, we're a repair and service contractor, not a retailer. Besides which, poker machines have been severely regulated by the government lately. I know there's a 2 year freeze on new machines being installed as of about 4 or 5 months ago, no more machines are allowed to be brought into operation for 2 years from that date.

You'd have a hell of a time findind one, and even if you did you'd be breaking some BIG laws. The government would string you up by your testicles and hang you upside til every cent you made fell out of your pockets, and then some

someone isn't allowed to own a pokie machine for fun :| ....I've seen them on eBay, they are classed as a "arcade" item...why is it any different to those bloody teddy/chocolate machines that have the "faulty" claws and open up as it comes back up XD
