Hey guys n girls i was wondering about any good bargains or cheap deals that you have had! I just picked up $1500 worth of stereo system for my car for $500!!! score of the century... Any else had a good buy? Doesn't have to be car related either!!!

I picked up a red 253, 4spd box, tailshaft, pedal box, clutch cable, complete exhaust, xtreme heavy duty clutch, and the 253 was bored out 30thou with flat tops, double row timing chain, maxitork manifold, quadrajet, electronic dizzy...and yeah overall it was heaps clean on the inside, pretty much no old oil anywhere. I know 253's aren't worth heaps, but I thought for $200 for the lot it was a bargain! I pulled it back down and is slowly getting put back 2gether (new rings, bearings, lifters, big cam, a rebuild with a few goodies ).....can't wait to chuck it in and fire it up

Also got a complete set of bailey's channel rubbers for $30. Whole set of 4....off ebay. And for about $70 I got a new rare spares window rubber, few little rubbers like the bonnet stop things, and the rubber strip which goes across the back of the engine bay from side to side, a tube of window sealant gear, and yeah just an assortment of rubbers for the old Commodore....all brand new!

Anyway, uhmmmm.........I bought some 14X7 (I think) Jellybean mag wheels for my WB for $130. THeres 5 wheels, all with tyres, except 2 have good tread, but the sidewalls are damaged. The other 2 have not much tread.
And the 5th wheel, the dish of the rim isn't as wide as the others, and the tyre isn't as wide as the others either.

More trouble than their worth, but think I still got em pretty cheap.

Almost got a HZ One Tonner with 253 a while back, wasn't a bad ute, needed interior doing up, and some rust repairs. Apart from that it wasn't bad. $700 was my offer (he originally wanted 1800) but someone else got in quick and offered more than me lol.

Meh, I've got my WB now.... ^_^

Or ya never use it, so ya sell it.....then ya need it. We got HEAPS of junk in our yard, and that's why we have a hard time getting rid of it.....but we're slowly getting rid of it
