    Default Motorbike power restrictions?

    Does anyone know wat cc engine your allowed to ride when your on your learners and when you get your P's in VIC

    No more CC restriction, but some of those LAMS bikes are horrible. If you want to upgrade to a sporty 600+, I'd suggest learning on a grey import or possibly the Hyo GT 650 maybe the SV650 even.

    But you definitely can't go wrong with a CBR/FZR/ZXR etc provided you're off reasonable height and weight.

    personally i wouldnt worry to much on your L's or P's get maybe a CBR learn to handle that pretty well and save up why spend ya money on somethin u dont really want unless u want one of the lams bikes obviously lol like me im not buyen a good bike till im on full license which is next year sometime sooo ill prob get Ducati 900 sport

    I disagree. An appropriate 250 will teach you so many valuable skills that you will need when you jump on a big bike.

    Having 20,000rpm teaches you to control your revs and rev range. Not doing that on a litre bike can be deadly. Sporty 250's are unforgiving and will teach you sportsbike language pretty well.

    As for resale, I sold mine for a grand more than I bought it. Most have awesome resale values. So spending a bit more money is no biggy as you'll likely get it all back.

    Provided you don't drop it. I wouldn't recommend anyone spend over $4000, $5000 at the very most on a learners bike. You've got too far to fall if you do damage the bike.
