Any members of JC in Qld lose anything in the storms?

I guess we will not really know until all power is restored etc.

Hope no one suffered too much damage.

I didn't, a lot of people around The Gap copped it though. A few big trees came down in my suburb.

My shed got flooded out, that was the worst of it, and nothing compared to what some unfortunate people copped.

What a weird weekend that was. Was beautiful on Sat. Mowed the lawns, bought a battery for the VP, washed it and took it for its first drive in 4 months. Came back and was about to fire up my brand new bbq, and bang, all hell broke loose.

Was definitely a suprise. I haven't had a chat to most of my friends in Brisbane, I know a few that were nearby but I haven't given them a call yet.

On my list of things to do for today. I've got pics but there are probably more floating around the net now anyway.

we got rain and a fair bit of lightning but it fizzaled out about 10 k's away from us so yeh were were lucky, but my sis lives in brissy and she reckens it was pretty bad...trees down power lost for 24+ hours etc

on a plus note there saying more storms and rain tomorrow and Thursday.....well the rain part is good but damage part...no thanks!

had no power here for 20 hour's, tree's down everywhere, neighbour lost his pool when the tree uprooted it'self and weakend the pool wall. other than that, we fair'd pretty good. other's around us arnt so lucky but the gap and kepera are pretty much stuffed.

I live on the northside, lost power for about 12 hours (lost it while i was cooking my dinner). There were 3 accidents within about 5 mins drive from my place and a few fences broken and trees down but no damage to our place luckily.

Last bad storm we had here, we had a massive ass ship wash up on Newcastle nobbys beach and we didn't have power for 5 days!!!!

yeh Keza87 is currently up that way, got word that he went for a cruise in the SuperWagon and made it back just as it hit. Luckily he missed the trees and garbage especially after all the time, effort, money and work thats gone into it

Would hate to hear the car was squashed under a tree or damaged when its 1000 kays away from home ...

I have not seen much around my area (logan city) rain has been hanging around for a few days, a little bit of lightning when it first started ect not even much wind spose some other areas copped it harder though!

we had a fair bit of water downstairs luckily it's all tiled so we just broomed it out.
copped a bit of hail and lots of wind and rain but no damage

As a storm chaser id say i wish i was there, but man im not sure if i really would, the pictures and video i have seen are not at all pretty and show the true destruction of the storms, Many other chasers believe that the worst affected areas may have suffered from tornado damage juding by the ariel views of damage showing that the worst of the damage seems to be a visible line although that is pure specualtion.



As the radar showed at the time it must have been very intense.

nothing much up my way yet just some lighning n **** so far but the sky is builind up its been really dark for a few days they said on the tube its gonna hti tommorow...

im gonna roll mi commo out and put it under a big cocunut or palm tree and may be puswde it for fall if we get bad storms n stil here, and i will be like na mr insurnace man the engine blow up when the tree fell on it ............

where are you at fuzzy? Looks like Brisbane is getting it again tonight. It. Made it far enough north for me to get rain and some stormage, winds aren't that bad though.

We were meant to have an Antinov take off from here early morning, I think they may delay it now.

seems like brissy and surrounding areas are coping some bloddy heavey rain.....where i am is just drizzleing but can see lightning now lol walked out at 12:30 am from work and flash!! lightning haha
