The crusher. Holden can't legally sell them as a new car again (if they were to be repaiered). If not, they'll probably be sent to the emergency services for training

    They go to car heaven

You never know. They may get patched up and be flogged off at your nearest dealer as ex demo models.
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!

It would depend on who actually "owned" the vehicles at the time of the accident. Chances are they have been paid for under a floor plan, so the finance company would own them. If they were still the property of the General, they might be covered by transit insurance, so a payout would be involved. Seriously damaged vehicles still owned by the factory would be crushed. Repairable ones might go to the auctions for repair or purchase by wreckers.

They could'nt be sold through dealers as they were no longer "new" cars and warranty issues would almost certainly arise as a consequence of the prang. Even with minimal distance travelled, they couldn't be sold as demo's legally.

Makes you cry to think of brand new Sportswagons going into the crusher with a handful of k's, don't it?

They can't do that. They can sell them as an unrepairable wreck.
I know a guy who bought a VY clubby that drove off the transporter, without the ramps on....
Also bought a brand new ute shell, and made a clubby ute.

8 Cars and a truck have collided on a highway this morning. So far only one survivor has been found. Police are baffled.

I want one of those wagons, I'd buy a wreck.

Just seen this on the news. Turing over a couple of Sportwagon's.. The green one was toast !. Some of the other were not so bad but some are write offs.

IF one was mine I'd cry. Now anyone who is waiting for a sportwagon in white is calling their local holden dealers in panic.

When I went past at about 10am there were still 5 cars waiting to be removed. All looked pretty messy! The green one was gone though. One of the women I work with is waiting for a white 60th anniversary

lol, I call bull**** (not you Lightning), what type of truckie would swerve to miss a kangaroo. A kangaroo would have no affect on a truck if they hit. It would hit the bullbar and be gone, no chance of it hitting the windscreen even. I dont swerve for a kangaroo in my VK for **** sake, ive even driven a mazda metro (121) and didnt bother to swerve caus the consequense of swerving will allways be worse then plowing the ****er and making an insurance claim.
More like he fell asleep or was on the phone, or batting off.

The truck involved didn't have a bull bar.
