Eureka styles!
well thats what i was thinking ... anyone know how much the gasket will set me back its a I6 OHC 2.8L
Eureka styles!
is it an alloy head? cos if it is more than likely bye bye head
Ever read "the dog & lemon guide" ryan? Don't wanna be a wet blanket, but (maintenance wise) if you can't afford a new merc, you definately can't afford an old one. But, if it is in double mint condition and it has a family history, it might only cost you one arm & a leg when something goes wrong![]()
considering where it came from mate, it will always be worth repairing. 66 Mercs and the rest of them in that age still had cast heads. Your issue will be cost of parts and finding parts.
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
i was also thinking about chucking some sortof inline six in it with a five speed anyone know how this would go down with qld transport and the p plate laws???
Eureka styles!
personnally i dont care how much its worth or how rare it is i will never sell it its more about the sentimental (sp?) value of the car and the only reason i suggested a 6 is so
1 i could drive it on my p's
2 it would need minimal work to fit
Eureka styles!
also it would be alot cheaper to maintain and run ^^^
Eureka styles!
personally id leave it as is, there are plenty of other cars out there that you can pick up cheap to drive on your p's.
you might not have much money now but that will change trust me
