To the idiot "P" plater lad that almost hit me on the way to work today - may all your tyres go flat.

I had plenty of time to get up to speed when I pulled out onto Commercial Road Seaford today - you were just over the lights at the Main Street intersection. (300M)

I got up to speed (70kph) very quickly and set cruise on. And you were still way off in the distance.

When I get to turn off at Griffith Drive, indicate left and start to brake your right on my hammer - almost in my boot. At this point I was still doing 70 - So you must have wound you little 6 banger VS upto well maybe 90+ to catch me. This also put you well above the speed limit. Had I hit the ankers without looking we would have chashed or you would have been across the road into on comming traffic. Looser.

With 3 teenagers killed in SA in the past 24 hours - you are on your way too driving like that.

The single finger you gave me shows that you can count to 1. Good boy.

I gave you 2 back - so I can count to 2 - But I'm also 44 and seen many youngsters like youself killed because thay drive like loonies.

Spot on with that. When you have young kids driving for the first time it takes a while to believe in there driving abilities. The eldest had a scare early on in her driving - was lucky to not hit anyone and that slowed her. 2 years on I'm OK with her driving and now she is getting into the 18 yo "slow down".

French boyfreind is racking up the K's a driver now. He values his life and is not arrogant to the road rules - thank god for that.

I was driving the V8 and yes needs new paint - but I dont want to fix a rear ender. Not now anyway. He would have hit the corner and spun me out. Lots of trees on that side of the road. Funny how we sum all that info up in a flash. I had only just touched the brake peddle after putting the flasher on - check the mirror and I cant see any of his headlights - bloody hell he's about to hit me so I took my brake off. It was as you get to the slip lane to turn left, I'd put my indicator on early and started to vere left, check the intersection for cars, walkers, pushies and oldies on gofers, use light brake to disingauge cruise and get ready to almost stop for the left turn. The corner is tight for a lefty as it cuts back about 20 Deg more from a right angle.

This peanut because I pulled away from him so quick has to wind the old V6 up to catch me and show how big his balls are by forcing his way past me to over take.

I'm sure you did the right thing Sometimes when I have people on my ass like that and I want them to back off, instead of tapping the brake I turn my parkers on. People see the tail lights go on and think its the brake and back off

Ha HA - happens alot really - I take off quick without doing a wheelie and get to the speed limit quick. I do nothing that I would call dangerous. My car is good thanks to many hours of work and money and some very good tuning

So I get away very fast and some people think Oh its a drag and by the time they catch me they are well over the speed limit. "Mate it was all over in the first 3 seconds" - once the VN V8 hits 2,000 rpm if they're not in front it aint gunna happen. Not to the speed limit anyway be it 60 or 80. On the open road to 100 or past I dont know - not tried. But to 60 or 80 and I get the take off spot on they lose.

Then they go flying past for a sucker win in speeding fine territory. Sad.

Ha ha I was in the V8 sedan - he was just sooking cos I powered away from him soooooo quick - and he had this thought that he should catch up and see the car up close. He did not have to "run me off the road" to get a look - hell I'll let people have a squizz at me car - It's only a VN Holden - but it's all mine and paid for.

Perhaps some more sedate take -offs from yourself would be the responsible thing to do rather than sucking those impressionalbe P platers into a some sort of race?
