    Looks like minux had fun.

Anyway, I went to the Friday night show...fking incredible. Those stunt drivers/riders must have some skill...Steve did fairly well too I reckon.

Went on friday night.. good bloody show!

It was good that they had Steve there but he was pretty much their bitch.

Wasn't completely impressed with the displays outside, you could look under the bonnet of the FPVs but the GTS was closed up and the HSV bloke was nowhere to be seen! I went back a few times but he was never there! Plus they put some bloody dopey bird on the Audi display who looked like she would rather be sitting in a cafe in Potts Point sipping on a Chai Latte. I was pretty keen to look under the bonnet of that RS6 wagon!

Welcome to motorshows mate...a lot of booth babes at motorshows are like that. Personally though, while I would've liked to have sat in the GTS (wasn't expecting it though, at the motorshows the HSVs are ALWAYS locked) or one of the Buforis, I got to sit in an FPV GT, so I was happy.

i went up for the thursday night show. Was great except for steve being their. He was annoying as hell. Especially when he came out in the ss ute and couldnt get the dam things to spin.

Apart from that I enjoyed the show, obviously quite scripted but who cares.

I stayed at the novatel in olympic park. God i tell you, that town is strange. The only pub wont serve shots, and all the restaurants shut at 5pm haha.

Will anyone go to next years show? I think Sydney have signed for 3 years.

Would rather wait until they release it on dvd to be honest. I was rather disappointed.

ill probably go again, only because i can. What was it that disappointed you Craig? Was it the dodgy "precision driving team" who were only taught to do hand brake turns?, was it simply that some moron invited the aussie bloke? Or was it that it seemed to have more emphasis on bring in acts like their ball of death and the drummer bloke who no one knew who was?

Dont get me wrong. I had a good time, but i just felt it wasnt top gear

Yeh it just wasnt what I expected. I was hoping i'd get to see an episode of top gear if that makes sense? Just seemed over scripted...

Including that tosser from TGAU was a big mistake and just wasn't enough stiggy

They need to get ken block involved lol.

I was there Saturday and must say I quite enjoyed the show. Didn't like Pizzati much but you can't win anything.

I wrote a review and have some pictures on there too from the Saturday 2pm show: Review: Top Gear Live

    Pretty good review.

From reading the above and the review I don't think I'd like to go.

The video was interesting, but the pyro displays really put me off a bit, I'd rather just see and listen to the cars. It'd be an experience, but I'm not sure if I'd go.

I went Sat afternoon, the show was good but not great... What really had me annoyed was the 10-15 min of ads at the start... if i wanted to watch ads i could have stayed home instead of spending $120 on a ticket.

Although it was good to see them live and I liked the whole drving simulator how you had to flip the piece of paper showing the different colours to steer the car and yell as loud as you can to make the car go faster hehe that was pretty cool.

And the ferrari's, it's not everyday you get to see a someone ring the neck out of one

yeah i gotta agree. would have been great with james may there instead, and the stig wasnt out long enough, and he was also out for the lamest event. ive also heard things about the top gear track lap times being changed for every show? so its all rigged anyway

Yeah, I do think it was a bit overcommercialised...but oh well, I guess they need to make a dollar.

By the way, did anyone else miss out on getting their card for the Cool Wall and the racing simulator? I did, as did a few others who were sitting near me, so we couldn't join in.

Oh mate I was lovin the promo girls! Really felt like buying some Pirelli tyres that day (not really but yeah)! Just the attendent on the Audi one was quite... different to most (although she probably wasnt actually a "promo" girl). Yeah I was just disappointed that there wasn't even a person there at the HSV site... oh well.

I also thought the ads at the start were a bit shite as well but someone has to pay for the thing right???
