Anyone going to Top Gear live?

Just bought 2 diamond tickets to the 8pm show on Saturday Feb 7. Booked flights and hire car too.

Certainly likes like a bloody fun show.

im going on the sunday. was gonna go on the saturday, but we got better seats the next day. im also flying up there on friday night. know of any good cheap hotels to stay at?

Check wotif mate, i wont book accomo until the mrs is home to approve it. try and find the best room you can, well worth it for a dirty weekend away

I'll be in canada snowboarding at the time. Absolutely filthy that I'm missing out on it, but at least I'll have something else to keep me busy while I'm disappointed and can't attend

I'd love to go but at about $100 for a 75 minute show. I'd have to take my other half so nearly $200 for 75 minutes. I don't think so.

If it was in Brisbane as well I'd make the trip for sure. But I've already put my cash aside for a trip to nsw in late feb not early feb. House is already booked and paid for unfortunately.

It must annoy people that Sydney is the only city hosting the show... and the Novatel in Homebush bay where the show is i can fully reccomend....

I'm flying into Sydney on Feb. 5th for the 8 pm show on Feb 6th, then flying back out early next morning. Was a Christmas present from my parents, gonna be awesome, can't wait!

And yeah, f1_power, the ban on cameras does suck, but I guess its understandable. My question is though...is the ban just when the show is on, or does it also extend to the Motoring Showcase and the Power and Performance Gallery? (which I'll also check out)

I don't like your chances...it was previously called MPH, when it was only done over in the UK, and I don't think they ever aired it then, even in the UK.

I don't really see it as understandable - sure banning professionals and flashes maybe, but all cameras?

Like you I want to take pictures in the Motoring Showcase and Gallery but according to tickets is a no....I've even emailed them to ask about this but no reply as yet....

The reason why I think its understandable is that at most of those sorts of things they usually don't allow cameras or any sort of recording devices. Oh well, for the dedicated I guess there's always ways around it - my mum still has a tape somewhere of a Cat Stevens concert that she secretly recorded back in the 70's lol!

All tickets have no camera or recording devices printed on them, But every concert i have been to you can just carry a camera in and they don't say anything, unless u have like a professional camera setup.
