Navman S50?

Me in my infinite wisdom bought one of these off ebay 2 weeks ago. finally showed up today missing the charger, plus the stupid thing keeps on rebooting itself. Turns out i need to reinstall the firmware, but i need this thing called NavDesk2008 which apparently came with any of the s35/40/50/80 units. Guess what i'm missing...

Anyone ready to step up to the plate and help a fellow JC member know where he's driving to?

Where are you? My S50 was stolen out of my car a little while ago but I still have the box here at home with the software and USB cable. Obviously don't have the in car charger and cradle though, but i presume you got those?

I can't do much in terms of "helping" as I have a Tomtom which I found in a bin at work all there working 100% (presumably stolen) so I can keep an eye out, but you need to take a ticket

lmao I killed my Garmin by trying to do an update and it did the same thing, reboot then crash.

Garmin have had it for 3 weeks now with an ETA of the week before Xmas ...

grrrrr lucky for warranty tho
