no the brand new r35 with launch control is the best nothin like 0 to 100 in 3.2 second standard of the shelf .
Dont argue with idiots cause theyll bring you down to there level and beat you with expereince!!!!!!!
Although technically the new GT-R isn't a SkylinePeople call it that, but Nissan doesn't. The newest Skyline according to Nissan would be the V36, which makes that R34 KICKASS cool.
A TT LS1 is cool in just about anything... but coupled with the looks and the handling of an R34? Wow.

I prefer the video of that guy running to 10,000 rpm on the street on the first 4 gears: in his skyline )
very cool and unique.
however, the GTR engine would surely be able to produce the same power (they've been proven to handle 1000hp).
needless to say, if anyone can get a GTR engine to sound that tough, I'll give them a cookie!

Ecotec VP, 135rwkw, 427nm
^^^also add to the fact of the weight difference between the RB26 and the weight of the LS1 wich would alter the feel of the steering, but then again with 1000hp at the wheels it aint gonna matter wich way you point the wheels she will just want to plow ahead
Overall top effort, and something different from the average skyline for sure![]()

If only they didn't cost so much.
A mate at work - his old r34 gtr vspec is for sale (he doesn't own it anymore, somebody else is posting it up) apparently 40 grand spent on mods, nothing over the top just added things so it would spit out some reliable power, 8 thousand dollar rim combo. and it's only 60k I think. White though unfortunately.
I'd love any GTR, so long as it wasn't a 33.
Twin LS1, I wish I had the cash for these conversions haha
the r34 ls1 tt is a drift car, hence why it needs a v8 to keep up with the bolger's monaro.

R35 FTW!
LS1 conversions are getting boring.

Thats bloody awesome, a beautiful piece of machinery.
Im more interested in the Racing Green VX Clubby behind it![]()
i like the type of skylines that disappear in my rearview mirror......
i like Keir Wilsons GTR from Willall Racing

if we don't focus on the GTR part, i guess it all comes down to engine condition. my friend has a stock standard r33 gtst and although i haven't been in it in 6 months i used to think it was the fastest thing ever... i got my vp and i thought it was much slower than his r33, although i've never tested that theory. then the other day i heard some massive blow off valve next to me, look right and there's some skyline overtaking me. so i thought what the hell and put my foot down. he did the same and i ripped him a new arsehole. no idea how modified it was but surely he would have upped the boost if he's done a massive (or NO) exhaust and bov. couldn't believe it. usually skyline engines sound good, so i reckon this was just treated poorly. the douche probably revs it's tits off 90% of the time.
an alloytec would be close performance to my car i would think, like a vz sv6 or something, so there could be much truth in an alloytec beating a gtst. beating a gtr though, not a chance in hell![]()
gtr = god of jap car...all other skylines are rubish 32 onwards that arent gtrs..but my favourate is r32 gtr v-specs....sooo sexy. way better than these new 35s :-s
Comparing a 190 alloytec to a GTR is silly. why dont we compare a mack truck to a ducati? not in the same league.
I saw some shocking skylines when I was in the market for one a few years ago, one had literally a dinner plate for an exhaust... zero back pressure and sounded like crap... Another one had a massive atmo BOV running standard boost and cooler with no mods aside from exhaust.....
Gotta remember the R33 was first released in 1995... the vz is nine years younger than it.....
similar to comparing a 1995 model car to a 2004 model perhaps?

still a 1995 "perfomance sports car" to a 2004 "family sedan" lets pick a N/A VS Ecotec against a stock NA R33. i dont think there would be a massive difference.
