R 33 2dr but 4dr on rego.. HELP PLEASE

MY little bro just got himself a 95 R33 skyline 2 door
But the RTA rego papers say its a sedan. Is this right because I always thought A sedan had 4 doors not 2
I use to work in a blue slip mechainics & I dont ever recall this one

my lancer 2 door had sedan on its rego,

a sedan doesnt have to be a 4 door

similarly my 2008 VE has 2007 on the new rego sticker. The sticker that it came with said 2008, the chassis number refers to a 2008, but the new rego sticker does not

it may be classed as a 2008 model but may have been built in 2007?
