1. standard drive thru car wash (with the big brushes that stuff up ur paint job lol)
2. at home
3. touch free drive thru car wash
4. manually at a car wash
5. pay someone to do it for u at the car wash
just curious.. i tend to either do it at home with a sponge or i use the touch free drive thru when im lazy
Manually at car wash for my caprice and the vz ,but my vito I just put through a car wash
Manually at the car wash for me,
1. Rinse it
2. Spray wheels with degreaser (crap stuff)
3. Shake the foam from the brush so it covers the whole car
4. Get my sponge and clean that mofo
5. Scrub wheels with the brush...
6. Rinse
7. Shamois! (spelling?)
8. Curse at how **** my paint is and say i need a respray 100x
Then cruise with a clean car![]()
carwash: pre-soak, high-pressure soap spray, high-pressure rinse.
let it dry naturally, then clean with quick detailer or quick wax. polish if it needs it etc.
Carwash: Head down to the do it yourself car wash at around 9pm when there isn't anyone there, pre soak her, fill my bucket with Meguiars soft wash and use the hose to fill my bucket, wash her down, rinse her off with the hose, then spot free low pressure rinse with the remaining time using the hose, pull her into the vacuum bay and chamoise her off.
Take her home, Meguiars up the rims and clean thouroughly. Followed by dusting the interior down with a static duster to pick up the dust, wipe it all down with a mildly damp terry towel, wet and dry buff the inside of the windows, then vacuum last and top up all fluids etc. That's my weekly detail.
lmao i seriously do it like that bahaha paint is screwed as it is, not ruining it more with that damn brush *evil look* lol
manually at carwash, similar to above, depends on how dirty it is as to whether I get the sponge out & scrub it, or just soap & high pressure rinse & chamois. Or even the quick detailer if its just a bit dusty....
I tend to vacuum first? Duno why lol, & I turn my fluffy floor mats upside down so they dont get wet after when I get back in :P
After chamois, its interior wipe down & windows.
My brothers got a freshwater tank at his house so i go there every week and hook up the gerni.
Every week I try and get down to the car wash (manual) and give it a quick clean, but at least once a month I get the bucket out at home and do a proper job of it

PM me or email philthy@shoppingsecure.com.au for all your stereo needs
manual car wash every week then into the vacuum bay for a chamois, vacuum and wipe down of the interior
I've done that a few times and the looks you get
Also I tend to go early in the morning or late in the evening when it's quieter so I can take my meguiar's soap and bucket wash it..
The one near me has a boat bay and sometimes we take 2 cars and use the same bay to wash em...
But mainly use the one a bit further away as they use hot water, not luke warm like a lot of them do
I have 2min showers, don't use the dishwasher and the sprinklers never go on even though restrictions have been lifted during certain hours.
No need to spell it out completely what I do![]()
i drive really fast through the rain.
then when the rain's stopped i reverse really fast until it's dry.
i dont wash my vn, if i do paint work comes off and it leaves a blue film on my windows
I wash my car at home.
Heard some bad stories about manual car washes from people i know. One guy took his VT to a manual place and washed it there to find out some guy had used degreaser and the recycling system sent it back through the hose onto his car and screwed the paintwork on his boot. The guy that owned the car wash was his mate and he had a massive fight with him to get the boot resprayed. Got it done in the end though. But i'd rather do it at home than have to go through something like that. And means i can use my Meguiars stuff whenever in whatever part of the wash without wasting time.
i was told to use morning fresh and the car looks mint
Impossible today to wash at home.. So my second choice is the indian car wash..
Great blokes that work there.
They wash by hand first. Then auto brushless wash wax shine protection all that jazz. Only thing i do before i get there is wash my rims. Get out vacuum the car all done.
One of my best tips for keeping a car clean is when it rains. Run out afterwards and chamois the car down. Amazing how it keeps it's fresh clean paint.

I wash mine at home on the driveway. Got an exemption from any water restrictions![]()
How did you manage to score that?

Good old fashion bucket. Were not allowed to use a bucket with these restrictions, but if I pay to be on the road then they can pay for my little bitty bit of water. Afterall it was their roads that dirtied my car.
If im lucky, I'll wash it once a week.
