    Default Holden Recalls 9000 Cars

"Almost 9000 Holdens sold in Australia have been recalled to fix a potential problem with the side airbag system.

Holden said there was a risk that the driver's side airbag could deploy when the car is stationary, and the driver is exiting or has exited the vehicle.

It had identified a problem where the airbag attachment within the seat assembly could allow the airbag to come away from the seat frame.

The performance of the airbag could be affected in a crash, it said.

The recall applies to 8792 VZ vehicles sold in Australia including Executive, SV6, SS and Berlina Commodore models, the four-wheel-drive Adventra, the Crewman and the HSV Avalanche.

Holden said it was contacting vehicle owners and they would be asked to take their cars to a Holden dealer for inspection and rectification."

Yeah true. Alot of people just don't have that much time anymore with the money recession and all either.

Wonder how long it would take to fix as well.
