Default What are your favorite non expensive things?

I've wanted to start this thread for months. I've noticed that all my favorite things are not really expensive or hard to obtain but maybe not everyone knows about them. So I figured maybe everyone has something cool we should all know about. Ok here are my favorite things

    1. D cell maglite torch with LED conversion, I use this everyday lots of times and it's surely the coolest thing I own, retro well made yet high tech all at once. Awesome

    2. Powerball, These are just the best thing you can have to make your arm fast and strong, which is great when you play table tennis like me

    3. My torque wrench just because I got it for my 18th birthday and it's Australian made and good quality all rare things ~! and I like it

    4. My grafting knife witch is really a small kitchen knife but it's sharp, cost me 4 dollars and I've grafted so many fruit trees with it I can't even remember them all. I did however cut my finger from the nail to the first knuckle right down the side of the nail one day with it. I was extremely lucky that my human graft was still attached a little and reattached itself and I have forgiven myself for being so stupid

    5. The catweasel Mk 4 PCI card in my computer that has 2 6581 MOS (SID) chips in it to play C64 music on the actual Commodore C6 sound chips, rare as, hand made in Germany and awesome

In fact my top 3 favorite things have been birthday presents so I've been pretty lucky to have people that choose things I like alot for me that I wouldn't have bought myself

My photo's. The only thing it costs me to take them is fuel to drive there. I get to capture what I seen and am able to share it.

Oh man i feel ya!! Nowadays such simple little things mean so much better IMO!

    1. Sunny day, cooking marinated chicken fillets, seafood etc on the bbq with a cold beer / Jack Daniels in my hand.

    2. Cheese, cabana etc platters and a good movie (can you tell i like food?).

    3. Quality time at home or in my garage.

    4. Going for a drive up into the mountains for a coffee or lunch.

    Material things:

    1. I too have a little LED torch (bright as all buggery and SO handy!)

    2. My Motorhead t shirt.

    3. My Street Commodores DVD's.

    4. FOOD!! I love cooking up a lovely meal and coming up with new meal ideas etc (my missus has brought out my creative food side and has gotten me hooked on cooking up FRESH meals alot more often using REAL ingredients from the deli etc)

    5. Having my garage set up the way i like it. Have my bench, my little draws that hold all my screws, cuboard full of car paint and clear coat, massive tool chest, spare parts all organised in containers i got from Bunnings, i have a stereo out there (it's like my sanctuary, sounds lame but i'm happy when i'm in my garage detailing my car or doing this and that to my car).

a day off with friends, my shifts always clash with what mates or the gf are doing, if there's a big bbq or a night out, you can guarantee i'll have a shift on the day or starting at 7 the next day.

Motorbike riding... It'll cost $20-30 in fuel to thrash around a sportsbike for a day.

Unfortunately most of my hobbies are bloody expensive lol.

Motorbikes, Boats, Snowboarding... None come cheap

If anyone is interested in doing a bit of photography they are more than welcome to tag along, can provide a cheap SLR to use, lenses to use and a tripod.

Quite often go down the Great Ocean rd, so if anyone is ever interested let me know. It is quite a relaxing morning/day/night depending on my plans.

The ear plug dispenser on the wall of my shed, borrowed from work.
It's cheap as hell and none of my mates have one. Plus, I get free refills.

My foam rubber 'rock' I have on my desk at work. It's awesome for throwing at people and the reactions I get are brilliant, they think they are about to get K.O'd by the goonie I've just lobbed at them.

Coffee. That's all I have to say.

Agreed..... Though I never get weekends, I only get week days, nothing better then a corporate suite, sitting back eating a big breakfast in bed watching foxtel on a plasma, whilst getting paid

    My guitar.

Ok, it was expensive when i bought it! Back in '90.

But it is also my pride & joy. I saved for way too long to buy it, & when i got it, it paid for its self by keeping me out of the pub.
It is also the 1 posession i have which i can truly call 'mine'.
