I'm currently sitting at home on Carer's Leave looking after my very ill wife who has a Whooping Cough and A typical Pnemonia. Just wondering has anyone else ever had Whooping Cough and how long did it take to fully recover?
She has been told it could be a couple of months. Seemingly, the Chinese refer to it as the 100day cough.
As she's been coughing for over threee weeks she's well over herself.
Wikipedia not the most reliable source but it has told me my tennis elbow will stick around for about a year(am pretty p*ssed about that as now my left arm is even more useless.)
by whooping cough. do you mean (spelling) Croop?
Ive had croop when i was a young lad, had the mica paramedic come round and give me an (sp) adreneline shot,a nd then i was off to hospital for 2days/nights in some steam tect thingy.
Dont remember to much of it, but m doctor says i couldve died (must be ture, the doctor told me that, and has been my doctor for 20yrs

Was only reading about it yesterday![]()

I had a friend who got it, and from memory the worst bit lasted about a month, but the was sick for quite a bit longer.
I also had pneumonia when I was a kid and wound up in hospital for a bit. The worst of that was over in 2-3 weeks, but hung around for well over a month
Hope your wife gets better soon

Yep have had it before. My brother was the first to get it, but he was put on the right medication, i soon got it after him and was put on the same stuff. We only had it for a week and it was then gone. However the whole family had to be on Medication and we had to stay home from School for that whole week or until we were better.
