what is the worst injury you have had happen to yourself?
can be from anything or everything,

what did you do
how did you do it
any video or picture, vids can be quite funny on other peoples misfortune
any side effects or any side effects from it to date

Anzac day this year had a motorbike stack on a lip of a jump, rear end kicked out before the lip and ended up landing on the front wheel,
flipped over the bars and bike over the top of me

shatterd left collar bone
dislocated left wrist, big chip off the ulna and snapped the radius

9 screws and plate in collar bone, 12 screws and plate in the wrist

still have limited movement and pain though the joint on the wrist when i lift heavy stuff or do a impact sport (motorbike riding)
numb/no feeling around collar bone area

Broke my fibula and femur in either leg. The surgeon ****ed up the platings which led to muscle damage afterwards.

Kinda hurt...actually still does.

fell out of a top bunk bed on my face during sleep at a caravan park when i was young. almost needed plastic surgery. soaked the blood up with about 4 towels from the place we were staying. ate through a straw for a while

I know this is a self inflicted injury but still . I've was born with ears that stuck out:0 with no fold. I never got hassled about it like most kids since I was allways respected since I'm so nice . But it made me paranoid and I never really went outside to anywhere ever. So later on I got them modified. But I am realllly a mental control freak and so I don't do any drugs or alcohol and unless it's real serious perscription drugs / painkillers etc so I had to convince a doctor so do it with just a local anesthetic. It took me a couple of years to find one to do it. So yes that was interesting getting your ears come within a mm of being cut in half, cartlidge cut out with scissors and being stuck all in your hair, 50 stiches in each ear all while beign perfectly awake. You don't want to know what it sounds like to have a scapel and scissor go through your own cartlidge that close to your ear drum (incase you really want to know it's like a box cutter going through a strong thick cardboard box, same sounds. And the tight feeling as it was all pulled back together with the stiches. 30 minutes later the pain was quite extreme too and I had a purple / yellow neck for a few weeks while the brusing and blood drained away. So that was my most exciting injury. It took about 4 years for the scar tissue to stop flaking out of the cut :0

Playing Gridiron a few years back I moved awkardly when I sacked the quarterback and the knee popped out of the skin. Had to get it all screwed up and what not and now ive got a mighty fine scar.

Had what i thought was a bad neck injury playing Rugby Union, I was the lock and for anyone that doesnt know im dead smack in the middle of the scrum. We went in and at the last second the guy opposite me moved his head and headbutted me, I dropped like a sack of **** and because I was in the middle and holding everyone the whole weight of the pack went down with me and i spiked on my head. Had a stinger - where the nerves get pinched and its pretty much agonising pain from your neck down your body. I thought i was gonna be a quadie. They only last about 5 mins but it was one of the scariest couple of minutes of my life.

Got smashed at a 21st drinking some Glacier Eisch stuff from Germany and proceeded to jump down a flight of stairs, a good 20+, should go get a photo of the staircase one day, and ive proceeded to give myself knee problems for life now...... No serious damage, just no sport, and if its knocked the wrong way i wont walk for a week cos it swells like a bitch. Twist it the wrong way and it comes out etc.... Just frustrating, but, ****, that 21st was great fun!

Well my Worst Injury would have to be when i was Racing BMX.... Came off at 60ks and some bastard rode over my right hand, breaking it in 3 different places. It cracked right across where my Thumb joins to my hand. I didn't get it in a cast as i had to go down Sydney for a week that following Monday, so only got it wrapped up. 4 weeks later back to the Hospital for a check up and i was lucky my thumb hadn't slipped off lol. I also got a nice dint into my hip and a fair bit of gravel rash. Well that's what u get for a Dangerous sport.

Oh then the race right after mine, my brother came off on the next straight and done prity much the same damage in almost the same spots.... How weird aye?

when i was 11 i got burn by petrol and had 3rd degree burns... then hit by a car when 14 while riding my bike down a hill someone pulled out from a side street so i hit her on the side and flew over her car... also when i was about 14 i got a green stick fracture of my collar bone long story... and various stiches here and there along the way... bit of an adventurous childhood/teenage years

i woke up in an ambulance once, found out i'd headbutted a car while riding my pushy at speed... the car's roofline was pushed in real bad - with my head. fractured skull and heavy concussion, thanks to helmet mum made me wear. surely i'd have died or become a vegetable without it.

skiing crash once i did the splits, tearing my groin. everything from my stomach down to my knees was blue and purple.

I have broken my arm a couple times when I was in highschool. One of them ended up looking like VL berlina 5speeds, only a bit further down the arm. Getting it put back in place is still the most pain I have ever been in, even after the maximum dose of pethodine, which left me barely concious. Apparently sometimes they just snap back in...but mine took almost the doctors whole weight on it.

I have a bunch of injuries that never healed properly, but the arm would be the worst

I went surfing out at an island near my house (on a reef) and of all the things that could've hurt me, I found the stupidest.
I thought rather than paddling back towards the beach Id just climb out where the waves weren't breaking on the rocks too heavy.
I slipped over and a wave pushed me along the rocks covered in these big white barnacle things and it practically grated my skin away in chunks.
It was probably the only time I hadn't worn a wettie. I was scared of sharks and thought I'd have better chances in a bikini! lol

I had bit scrapes all up my legs, one really deep one on my back and my feet were just shredded. Surprisingly I didn't bleed as much as I thought it would.
Then I had a 30 minute beach walk to my bike(pushy) before a 20 ride mostly up hill home.

I know its not nearly as bad as some of everyone elses but it was my worst!

Last year when i was 15 playing footy being a prop forward i didn't protect my body enough and after years on constant tackles my right kidney managed to swell and form a block lower down. So many surgeries later i have a right kidney that only works at 20% and i have had 3 stents placed up my "johnny". Still don't urinate properly and when i do its mostly blood. Its great when you go to a public trough and the bloke next to you says "Mate what the f*** is wrong with you?!"

Oh and the doc said apparently i went through the male equivalent of child birth.

ohhhh dam.. that sound suck, i hyper extended my right knee playing gridiron, 1 guy form the side 1 guy from the front,lower half of my leg got pushed forward, upper got pushed backwards, got carried off the field, had a few plays off, went back on (not my brightest idea) got man of the match, havnt played since >.> that was like 2 years ago lol might get back into it this year :P

My worst injury was an ingrown toenail. Always been a fat kid so never played any school sport or rode any motorbikes....so haven't done much to risk breaking bones.

The worst pain ever was getting my ingrown toenail fixed. Had to get a double wedge resection, where they chop off about 1/4 of the nail on one side....but my nail was ingrown on both sides so had to get both sides done. When they chucked a tight rubber o ring over my toe it killed! Was the worst pain ever. The o ring is tight as **** and they had to force it over my toe to stop the blood flow.

Here's wat my big toe looked like after the small operation. As sore as it looks, it felt great....had put up with the ingrown toenail for like a year.

Broke my left ankle at 14 playing Basketball, at first thought it was just a sprain as i was always spraining them. So i kept playing half way through the second half just collapsed in heap on the floor got to the hospital and the doctor had to cut my boot off cause it was so swollen

Split my head open on the road out the front of my parents house when I was 3. Got it stitched up and when I had to get them removed I was in QLD, the docs had to cut it open again and restitch it cos the docs in Canberra did such a crap job.

The worst one for me was tearing my ACL in my left knee playing indoor cricket. I was running after hitting a ball and tried to avoid a fielder and next thing CRACK and went down like a sack of wet potatoes.

That was over 5 years ago, it isn't to bad now but it swells a bit which limits the flexibility of my knee.

Sucks cause I love to play basketball.

lol all i rememeber of the day was having lunch then thinking to myself ill take my bike for a spin ... worst mistake i made seeing as i dont rememebr anything but waking up in hospital with pretty much amy legs arms shoulder covered in blood.. and 3 fingers nails grated off from sliding so much lol freaked me right out not knowing what happened just a whole heap of doctors going u have been in an accident

but at least i can still walk so thats a plus

Never broken any bones, but have had a number of stitches in my head, once when i was about 5, and the other about 6. also cut my thumb down to the bone using a saw, which slipped...Nothing a bandaid didn't cover up although it was still ****ing out blood, and have the scar still there...
about 5 years ago I cut my little toe open, again, just popped a bandaid on it, and wrapped it in tissues and a bandage, was never one for going to the hospital, still hurts every now and then and looks weird. most recent I can think of is in a car accident, didn't have seat belt on and car rolled a few times then slammed into a tree...Cut my leg, sprained my arm, and twisted my back, was bruised for about a month...again no hospital treatment
