Me and a few of my mates have decided that we wanna go on a trip in the new year. We're hoping to be gone for around a week. So basically i need some ideas of where to go to, considering that the round trip from Brisbane could only take a week. Were taking a camper trailer so if necessary could pretty much set up camp anywhere.
I was hoping that some members here would be able to give some ideas of where to go. I've already been given the "go to byron bay" idea but we wanna do something more original...
Thanks in advance to anyone who helps

stay at home until all the idiots are off the road then do your trip
Come down to Canberra for the summernat's. Its a 2 day drive stay for 3 days then the 2 days back. There's a caravan park across the road or stay in the camp ground at Epic.
Bloody boring town though (Ulladulla). Beaches are decent, but still can get pretty cold in summer at times.
It's a 2 day trip each way from Brisbane to Lake Conjola (12-14 hour trip with a trailer to Sydney, another 3-4 beyond that) unless you like spending 18 hours in a car straight anyway, so I'd say it's just a little bit too far for them...
I'd personally go north of brisbane, plenty of awesome places to stay up on the sunshine coast, with or without a campervan, and you won't be spending half your time in a car.
