I know when I ran over a small length of wire in my ute on a job I stopped after about 3 seconds to get it out, it was wrapped around the tail shaft. How could you not hear it flapping around under there??

He must of had an awesome stereo in that Jeep to drown the noise out.
I'm surprised it didn't catch fire like a lot of Jeeps do.

haha, sucks to be that guy. what a moron, how couldnt you hear all that wire spinning around under there hitting everything, it must have been with some force to puncture the fuel tank!

that picture with all the guys looking at it is funny as too, you can almost hear what they're thinking...how the **** are we going to get all that off there and where do we start?

something like this happened while driving my dads Ford Terriotry, I had a ute in front with a thick painters sheet flew off from it and it wrapped around the tail shaft causing it to lock up while doing 90kmp/h on the highway.

There was a similar thing in the US.

Some woman in a Mini (She had bought that week) ran over a mattress apparently, and she kept driving... until the mattress caught on fire and in the end her car was burnt out!! lol

    How can someone manage that?
