Just thought I would let u guys know that the cops are getting VE Sportwagons. Our local cops had a brand new Omega today, I havent got any pics as yet but will get some in the next few days if possible. Didnt look too bad either considering its white.
Wouldnt surprise me if they bring out unmarked ones as well![]()
are they doing ve divvy vans? it's just that the other day i i realised i haven't seen a ve ute with a shell on the back.
The Divvy vans here in Vic aren't just a ute, they're Crewmans.

Tomorrow doesn't look good either.
God must love stupid people, He made so many.
wtf is a divvy van?
I've only ever heard em called paddy wagons. Divvy must be a southerner thing. Just like stoby pole. They're bloody telegraph or light poles! And a Berlina is a car not a Jam Dohnut...
![]()
don't have stobys in vic, i thought that was a sa thing and they were more a girder outta the ground than a standard pole
Yeah neither do I lol. Must be because im actually a queenslander.
I don't mind the Sportswagon.
i thought paddy wagons are british..
whats 'paddy' stand for?
"Paddy" Wagon is thought to be of early 1900's New York City Police origins as a result of so many Irish born Police... I.e. Police wagons driven by Irishmen (Paddys).
hahah thats retarded.. at least divvy is short for Divisional, not a story![]()
Every Police vehicle belongs to a division. Not just the vans! Calling it a divvy van makes no sense. That would mean you call the cars divvy cars and the bikes divvy bikes.
There's some history to the name given to a Paddy Wagon at least. Not just stating the the bleeding obvious (that a Police vehicle is from a division) in shortened bogan speak.
Whats a stoby?

fair call, but we dont bother calling the car n bikes divvy car or divvy bike.. it just doenst work like divvy van. but i've heard some call em divvy cars..
a dude called someone stoby, put 2 I beams together and put concrete in them, and SA call that style of pole a stoby pole after him.. its 1 hell strong pole.
nazi slow poke that or he's going to the blue oyster bar
