Hey guys how are we all?
I was just wondering if anyone here has had any experience up at / around / near the Snowy River around xmas time? I am leaving with a few mates and the missus boxing day 9 days of camping up along the Snowy River. Obviously it isn't going to be as warm up there as down here in crappy weathered ol' Melbourne, but i am curious, how warm to the days / night usually get up in the high country around xmas and new years?
Also fishing wise, you wouldn't get a heap of fish up there around this time of year i am led to believe, but i thought i would get a few comments from people who have had a trip or two up there and experienced it first hand. I'm looking forward to sitting by the river with the boys and the girls with a stubby and a fishing line at some point
Any experiences etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!![]()

Where about are you planing on going, roads, campsites etc?
Up around the National park i think mate ^^^ not near the main camp sites though, the boys know of a few places apparently!
Man you have no idea, all my mates are big 4WD / camping fanatics and have been for years, i'm just itching to throw a fishing line out into the river and sit there talking **** with the boys while the missus and the girls do their thing. Don't care if i don't catch anything, it's just relaxing with no idiots around ruining NYE etc.
So i'll be packing a big thick jacket and a few hoodies as well as shorts etc for sure then!

I'll have to see what's around, should be right to include that in the budget. Got all my grog for the 9 days, mainly to just have a few beers or bourbons each day whilst fishing etc, but will be getting on it NYE for sure.

A friend of mine reckons it snowed up there on xmas day last year!!

Regardless of the temperature, the fresh alpine air is so refreshing, so you'll have a blast either way.
Geeez!! Maybe i should pack some REALLY warm clothes then. Obviously sharing the tent / bed with the missus so body heat at night will help with warmthBwahahaha.
Yeah i'm not TOO phased on weather, as long as it isn't ****ing rain i couldn't care less.
