i need help with a question lol now dont laugh haha
An article bought for $250 is sold for $375 find:
(A) profit in dollars ____________ ok i know this one its $125
(B) the profit as a percentage of the cost price _____________
wat the hell is B its driving me crazy lol
I'd agree with VN Executive. $125 is half of $250, so the profit is 50%.
It's easily observed that it's 50%, but the mathematical way to find out would be:
(A/B)*100 = % of B that A represents
(125/250)*100 = 50%

(B) (3a-b) - (2a-3b)
could someone pleaseeeee tell me how to do it as well

mods please close.
anything in the second bracket in both of those equations needs to be multiplied by negative 1 (because of the negative symbol before the bracket)
as far as im concerned i dont think there is a need for the brackets in the first lot of the equations.
so,
(A) (2x+y) - (x-4y)
= 2x + y - x + 4y (remembering 2 negatives = a positive)
= 2x - x + y + 4y
= x + 5y
(B) (3a - b) - (2a - 3b)
= 3a - b - 2a + 3b
= 3a - 2a - b + 3b
= a + 2b
atleast i think this is right.
this looks a lot like grade 7 - 9 maths... the percentage one is grade 8 maths at best.
WHAT, csp is wrong???
When did this happen???![]()
lol juzo
I think the real issue here is why are you cheating for an aptitude test? Your only going to make yourself look like a fool when your hired and can't do these equations by yourself.
