hey guys well a few years back T-roy got me hooked on these jada toys there basically model cars done up but there awsome and look great troy has many himself once he sees this thread post yours up LOL also if you post here make sure they are only of car models not your real car

try to keep chat to a minimum unless its about the model cars so people can see the cars not convo
camera doesnt do them justice theres alot of detail in them il try get some pics of them up asap

this is the only pic ive got of most of them, back when 3MP cameras were da bomb!!



the f100, chev, firebird and the orange chev are all custom modified/built from damaged cars.

f100 was dads and had some bad damage, front axle was snapped,`bits of the doors were broken, all sorts. i bought it back to good, lowered it a tad, stacks, fat tyres on the back(stolen from the paddywagon), etc.

the white one was dads and a bit damaged aswell, now it has a full tilt front(think back to that purple 57 chev that won smoty a couple times), chopped roof, custom front headlights(coz the originals were long gone) and a few other bits i cant remember. if you look closely, you can see fluffy dice on the fornt window, i dripped a bit of glue on there by accident and it clouded the window, so i cleaned it as best i could and painted dice there

the firebird was my $10 kmart special, it had been opened and was missing a heap of parts. i toyed with a few ideas, then decided on huge mofo blown v8 with no bonnet, rollcage(custom bent and made myself) and removed the back seat. theres no windows coz they were gone, grille is from a truck radiator, lights are from god known what.

the orange "thing" is all sorts, the fronts 57 chev, from the back of the doors back is a corvette, custom front lights(were option parts from the f100), rolled front bumper, grille is corvette i think, front tilt bonnet, and under the bonnet is a twin turbo v8 sadly i found that one a while ago and it got crushed in a box, so is now a bit broken. might have to resurrect it again.

the chev alternomad, nastruck and the paddywagon are all just stock models.

as for building them myself no they come like that in the box theres some you can change the rims

hey there just thought i post up my most original car. i have 20 holdens but this is by far the most original a modified hg monaro, i didnt build but bought it like this has parts from 3 different models apparently including jada.hope you like it

Yeah. Changes were minimal. From what I remember the drivers seat, harness (seat belt) and instruments were the only changes. Somebody did tell me that the stock gauges are behind the race dash but I don't know for sure. All Group C otherwise had to run a full interior. I have seen that car in question in the flesh and as far as I can tell the model is very accurate.

heres only some of mine, Ive kinda run out of space and need a second cabinet so alot are in storage and I keep adding to them.

Not included here are like BMW, Porsche and Astons etc. I have a dealer only release Porsche GT3 and a special Dealer only release Aston Martin DB9-R of which only 30 were made world wide.

Some of the cars, like Brockies last 05 VY, the COA number is low (#42 of however many made) and its autographed. I dont have them onsite with me, their kept locked up in a fireproof safe away from home

theres also a few one offs or cars where I say good luck finding someone (like me) prepaired to sell it ;P

To give yas an idea Ive been around lately and checked out some model car mobs, one guy had 3 of my cars side by side on a shelf which totaled $1400 if I were to buy them, 2 of my 3 were autographed (one is a Brock car) but then as you can see I then have another 4 parked next to them on my shelf ...

I have the valuation for insurance, their insured for more then what my VZ Acclaim would sell for if I were to sell em

How much did you pay for the Just car monaro's? I was going to buy them, but there going for over $200 ea now.

Oh and I should mention that in the 3rd picture at the top left is a blue NRMA HX Panel van, thats what started it all.

Mum got it as a Christmas present the last year she was with NRMA, which i thought was cool coz I was young and loved the fact that I could see the real thing at the NRMA Head Office but this was a little toy version of it. She handed it to me a few years ago which got the ball rolling. then in 1999 I brought a 1:43 scale Craig lowndes HRT car, which is 3rd picture, to the right (in the box) which was autographed on the day when Craig was at our local Holden dealership, then 2000 I brought a 1:18 scale #1 HRT VT which was one of the first Biante released, and it went on from there, that become a 2001 Skaife HRT car, then a 2001 HRT Bathurst winner, then 2002 Skaife #1 car, then 2002 Skaife Bathurst winner ...

I get mine from ebay and my local model shop.. I only collect 1.18 scale and 99% are Biante or Classic Carlectables.. In regards to modifing, i buy wheels from ebay(they are made by GMP) and have a dremel ready to cut and shut.. .. Its very addictive..

I've sat in that Group C VK and the only notable changes were the drivers seat and massive roll cage (that was diffucult to get in and out of), I can't remember much about the cluster but I think it was a black planel with some gauges. But it had door trims, seats, all that

holden sell the holden models but charge an arm and leg and a ear in some cases i love model cars but dont have any anymore but was lookin at buying one a few weeks ago ...... so might ad some pics if i get one
