Hi Members,
I just purchased a new VE SSV which has also had a fair bit of work done to it. I took it to a local Holden dealer to have a few things looked at and they have caused a lot of damage to my front spoiler and passenger sideskirt.
When I complained I was told that as I could not prove that it was undamaged when I went there, that they would not assist with the repair.
Since leaving the Holden dealership my front bar is starting to fall off from the damage that they caused.
A lot of the minor scratches I have polished out, but some of the scratches are too deep and have gone down to the plastic, I have purchased some touch up paint to cover this up.
Dos anyone know of what action I can take to recoup some of the cost of purchasing a new front bar as the old one has had its brackets broken????
Thanking you all in advance.

Complain to the manager of the dealer, and if he doesn't listen call up headquarters or whatever they are called. The tossers on the front desk will always deny everything, hoping you will just go away. If you take your car there again, make them sign a form stating that there is no damage to the car when you drop it off , just like when you hire a car, then check the car when you pick it up - and if there is any damage go straight back inside and scream and shout at them (they love that ). and dont touch up the damage till you get a response from headquarters.
Maybe give fair trading or something like that a call, i recently called them (not for car related stuff) and they sorted the problem out within a week.
hmmm, give dealer principal a go, if that dosnt succeed go to fair trading and dob. i wonder how on earth they damaged that to the point of the bar dropping,
good to see another nowra lad on here simon haha

/\ sadly yeh and holden are a pain at the best of times
I would speak to the manager, go in and act calm and resonable. If he doesnt comply just mention you have been in contact/will be in contact with Fair Trading, hope that lights a fire under their arse.
You wouldnt happen to have any time stamped photos?
Unless you've got some proof that it was in no way damaged before it went into their workshop then you will probabaly have a hard time getting any response or recourse from the dealership.

Dont back down.
