ok story is car impounded caught hooning,
I know at some stage ill have to go to court, but i wanna no what happens, Cop estimated 100km as the speed i was going but its a ruff guess, he said.
So what do i say in court it was a 60km zone and another car involved??? what do i do and will i loose my licence any ideas, i dont care if i get a curfew or anything just as long as i can use my licence for work other wise I'm without a job.
Speed never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, now that's what gets you...
you will most likely get a hefty fine and if this is the first time you have been pulled over then you may get away with a warning. otherwise you could have a suspended license for 6 months![]()
take it up the a$$![]()
^^yeh gud one...not really..
um when i went to court for a burnout, before the hoon laws came in, i said that i needed my car and license for work and they said ya can keep it and pay a massive $300 fine, but if u get away with keeping your license you will pay a massive fine

ahhhhh ok what you have to do is get a letter from your employer if possible saying you need your license for work they will give you one demerit but if you lose that you dont wanna knowwww
The cop said 100ish but it was more like 85,90km but because my exhaust is rooted, it sounded louder than normal so prob sounded louder n faster lol

if the cop hasnt clocked you doing anythin speed isnt an issue well it is but they cant prove it just say yeah i was speeding i was going about 80
hmm but im worried bout my job cause yeah i dunno, gotta get the car back and get the exhaust fixed and hope its not defected when i pick it up

if its the first time in court get a letter from your employer stating u need ur licence for employment reasons and without it will see u to the end of ur employment, i had same thing but a red light in a truck, bit of a long story. but my boss wrote up a letter and the judge read it and said i can have it back with 1 point for 5 years on a restricted provisional licence, so if u have not been to court before id say ur fairly safe just dont get caught in the next 5 years or ur on a suspended lience unless u elec to be prosecuted!
fine for hooning, 7 days storage and towing fees plus what ever other fees they put on top... know of a few cars that have been impounded and not one of them came out without being defected..... 1 was even an engineered car and they still slapped one on it
fark my exhaust is hanging n like half ripped of n dumped im farked, n wheels are too big![]()

i didnt think they were allowed to defect it while it was in an impound yard?? i kno they can wait for ya outside and pull u over then defect ya but im pretty sure they cant do it in the cop yard. that mite be something to look into if u do get defected, fingers crossed u dont tho
How about next time dont be a dick?
Why is this even a thread? Just making us commodore drivers look like idiots.
sig chillhahaha they cant defect u in a driveway not in SA or at an impound lot u can take that to court
ahh they can defect you anywhere they like dude. if your car has a rego sticker and plates they can.
i was talking to a cop the other day and he said his 100% sure thats its illegal to ping u in your driveway u have to be driving
just clearing something up quickly.. you do not have to be present for your car to be defected, i know of someone who went into his local deli, came out and it was defected.
cops can pretty much do what they like when it comes to defects

You can even be sent out a defect notice in the post. Then they cancell your renewal for your regestration etc. It happens a lot these days.
If they have your details than can do anything they like, why do u think people blurr number plates etc on pics.
