it was prob midair when it was hit. how much do kangaroos weigh? must be a fair bit. they scare me. haha

I live in Outback Northern Territory. I work as a parts interpreter and deal with Panel beaters on a daily basis. Kangaroos are a huge problem up here, they are EVERYWHERE you cant drive at night they damage they do is unreal the ones down near Alice Springs are the worst the red kanagaroos they are like 5 1/2 feet tall and way **** loads.
not only that you have to miss the donkeys, pigs, water buffalos, and a huge range of other stuff...

I hit a 5 foot kangaroo in my VP at 100 and broke 1 clip on the bumper the left gaurds indicator snaped off from the flex in the body and wrinkled the number plate. That's it. Cost 0$ to fix since I had the parts at home. I hit it on the downward part of the hop and it went under the car (I think) where ever it went I had no damage under the car to the radiator or anything but the car did flex heaps you could feel the impact through the steering wheel

I was expecting a larger roo after looking at the damage!
Not good, a mate hit a horse in a BA tonner and it had the same damage!
Roo + car at around 100kmh = bad.

yeh we had one do similar damage to a fire brigade troop carrier. Poor thing was trying to escape the fire and smoke and ran right out in front of us at about 80 kph. Almighty bang as we clipped it and bye bye front quarter panel, side mirror and other bits and piecesmy uncle hit one and it ripped the diff out of his 100 series landcruiser
One of the guys also hit one in his 300ZX, coz the highway was closed due to the fire it was basically a free for all, he had his personal car there, so he decided to have some fun, til the roo jumped out in front of him.
But he got back up, looked at the driver (as if to say sucked in) and hopped away. The car, well it needed a tow truck
