Got the same gift, is it good on blu ray?
Haven't watched it yet.
One of my prezzies this year was a blu ray special edition of the dark night and i was rather disappointed that the special features of the dark night never gave any mention of heath ledger and the great work that he put into the movieFair enough people may not want to remember the sadness of his untimely passing but it would have been good to see the movie makers @ least acknowledge his work and the outstanding performance he put into the movie! Anywayz just a rant!

I reckon everyone appreciates how awesome Heath was in that movie ... it was almost the perfect curtain call or whatever those movie types say.
Good on ya Heath.
im not saying he was bad because i think was quite good but i think it got blown up alot because of his death
I was reading somewhere that due to heaths performance Christian bale was a little over shadowed in his character as batman and that the joker was more of the star of the film! Although overall great performances from both actors!

it would have already been mastered and finalised before heath died mate. even if the producers and the studio wanted to put something on the dvd about his death it would have been too late.
you realise the final pressings are done LONG before the movie is even released at the cinemas dont you? it doesn't all just happen in a few weeks between the cinema release and the dvd release.
Quagmire: My fellow Americans, I have not been entirely truthful with you. I did gagoogidy that girl. I gashmoygadied her gaflavity with my googus. And I am sorry.
I was hearing rumours from the dark knight before heath was dead. That his performance was breathtaking. So dead or alive insiders were extremely impressed with her joker version.
I bought it on bluray the day it was released, I also saw it at the cinema..
There has been a lot of hype about his performance and its well deserved, his portrayal of the joker is outstanding. With out his performance I dont think the movie would have been as good. He deserves every praise he gets.
Dead or alive it would have still be talked about and nominated for the same awards.
Just my 2 cents every one has their own opinions![]()
For the record im not a massive Heath Ledger fan.
Its sad to think but the movie makers will probably just wait until they have sold heaps of TDK and then rerelease it @ a later date with behind the scenes footage of making the film ect! Overall most people know that he played a great part in the film, just would have been good to see some acknowledgement!

I think it is probably more to do with the circumstances than anything else.
If he had died on the set or something then maybe?
I wouldn't buy it again just for a tribute, there has been countless tributes all over the world for him, that's enough imho.
He'll get awards etc which will also come with tributes.
I think in the second half of the movie he took the line light away from batman. Might have been worked out to be like that. But until the last part after Harvey demise he didn't get it back.
