nah mate no v8's no turbo's no superchargers wich to me it should be on power to weight cuz im gunna buy a suzuki swift the old model ( dont even say chicks car) they only weigh 800kg and are cheap as :P
hi everyone theres just a question that qld drivers may be able to help me with. can i as a p1 licence holder drive a v8 work ute.
my dad who i work with is looking at a vy ss ute for a second work car because we tow a lot of big trailers and i can't drive the truck we use either.

You can apply for an exemption if it's needed in the course of your work and not doing it will result in 'financial hardship'.
All you need to do is have a letter from your boss/employer (someone other than your dad if there is anybody else able?) stating that the ute would be necessary in the course of your work and no alternative arrangements can be made which would continue to allow you to do the work expected of your position.
I don't know how happy they would be if your boss/employer happens to be your dad.. They may want the letter from someone else above you, but if there is nobody else then it could be difficult.
Eurekamad94: the QLD transport site lists the acceptable reasons for exemptions. This does qualify.
