I've said it before in other threads, druggo's are a complete waste of space, time and money. The ambo's are getting assulted every week by drugged out and drunken yobbo's, it's ****ing disgusting.
Am I the only one that thinks anyone that requires use of an emergency vehicle should be forced to pay FULL COSTS if it is due to the use of drugs and alcohol?
I mean, these arse clowns deliberately inebriate themselves, hurt themselves, then milk private health insurance or their ambulance membership to take up time requiring an emergency vehicle(which then ends up as costs passed onto everyone else). Perhaps the fear of paying 10k in an ambulance trip would be enough to deter some of these wankers that are always o'ding etc? If I had my way, people who o'd etc would be banned from any medical treatment...waste of time and effort.
nyway, thats my rant for the month...will be able to see who the druggo's are pretty quickly![]()

LMAO! You're a heartless b@stard!![]()
Yeah i completely agree that its sh*t how they use valuable emergency resources for their *****d up issues.
However when I needed an ambulance i was ever so glad i didn't have to fork out the 4k bill i received afterward thank god.
Agree 110%, There a waste of money, oxygen, resources, and space.
What ****s me more (slightly off topic), is that we waited 4 hours in an emergancy ward the other day, when it wasnt busy, and my brother was in alot of pain. Yet a junkie walks in, and within 10 secs hes given his injecting kit and sent on his way. The nurse said that was his 4th visit that day and thats why she just gave him a few kits, WTF. Not only are our taxes paying for injecting kits for meth and heroin addicts, they get a royal ****ing treatment with it to.
Seriously some days, I feel like pretending to be a junkie just to reap all the benefits lol.
Hmmm I am sort of in agreement with you, I do think some young kids can get in over their heads and need help however all these people at raves and stuff that take drugs deliberatly should pay full price yes! my Grandfather had to wait for an Ambulance we were told because of some little turd who overdosed and tried to stab the Ambulance officer. If you are in full mind about what you are doing then suffer sorry but "Drugs are bad m kaay"
I dont drink these days. I am allergic to alcohol and drugs. I breakout in handcuffs!
The less people know about how sausages and laws are made, the better they'll sleep at night.
agreed!
and half of these dropkicks steal your hard earned money and possesions to buy the drugs that they od on! WTF...........
Nobody wants to play with me
Yes, maybe they should, but what about people injured in an at-fault car crash? Similar argument, then where do you draw the line? A lot of injuries could be avoided if due care was given.
obviously no one on this thread has oded trust me its really ****en painful
Hardly, these people waste valuable resources. they do not deserve help.
Your right, where do you draw the line, car accidents though, how many people go out to maim themselves on purpose? Druggoes and heavy drinkers deliberately go out and inebriate themselves out of choice. That is I guess where you can draw the line.
Thanks for once again adding your worthless 2 cents to yet another thread.

I agree and disagree.
It could be said that by driving on the road, your doing something that is dangerous and 'asking' to be injured (i doubt anyone here HASN'T been in an accident of some sort before)
I think they should have to pay tho.

Some people here are being very closed minded, some people drink lots and do drugs because of problems in their life. I dont agree with it but they find it as the only escape from their troubles...
Oh dear, you can't be serious?
If you have having trouble coping with issues or problems, talk to your family Doctor or seek other professional help. Crawling into a bottle or getting wasted solves nothing. The problem(s) is still there tomorrow and the next day, all you are doing is compounding it.
Im in agreeance when it comes down to things like drugs and alcohol. I mean, if you're planning to spend your night (or day, for some) on something that can get you F-d up, you should be hit accordingly when your being F-d up requires emergency services.
If I may slightly sidetrack, what about those who call for ambulances for completely stupid reasons. Ambo drivers have a plethora of facepalming moments and stories to tell you, the one I heard (whilst my Dad was having a heart attack stabilized) revolved around a toaster not working...... WTF?
Back on topic, yeah they should. However, as far as where the 'line' gets drawn, I don't think it should apply to those who have been 'spiked'.
If I may add, once at a hospital when the wife was ill, some drunks brought (dragged) their plastered friend in.... at first we began getting irritated someone came to see them before my wife, but were impressed when the nurse looked the plastered one dead in the eyes and yelled "TOO MUCH ALCOHOL!" and walked off.
+1 for those who care about who really need help.
A few problems i can see is
1. Usually derro gutter druggo's dont call the ambulance themselves. Its usually a passer by or cops who call them out. So in a sense you cant expect them to pay for a service they didnt call for, as in their mind they were just on a trip and was probably feeling ok and didnt want an ambulance.
2. These sort of people dont usually have thousands on hand, they will either steel it from somone else or if they did have it, it would go staight up their arm anywayz.
For people who are just mugs and are repeat offenders for being to intoxicated and getting hurt in fights ect... and taking up valueble ambulance time in precarious violent situations, then they should be charged somthing. I dont know if an ambulance fee is appropriate, again they dont usually call the ambulance it is usually somone else who calls for them. So i think they should be charged somthing like a hefty "nuisance fee" from the cops for wasting emergency services time.
But again that will have its issues as the "do gooders" will say that it will disscourage them from calling the services if they really need it and could cause an un-nessacary death.
Thats my thoughts anyway, i dont support the waste of emergency services time, but i just cant see how you can "practically" make people pay for the service in these situations. Especially if an ambulance turns up and they say they cant pay, as an ambulance officer cannot refuse to treat a person based on monetary reasons
