This is totally random.
Once when I pulled out my whole interior from the VN, my roof light.......... Was a Ford light???
It's never bothered me since, but I was just wondering, stupidly, has the pervious owner chucked this light in there? Coz if he did I'm going straight to Commwreck to get a Holden one!!!!
Im pretty sure this has been posted before, and I think you'll find all say the same thing.
Yeah, the part was made by another company, who made the light(maybe on the lense cover) for ford and holden. They all are stamped ford.
B**tards.
I'm making my own brand of light, anyone else want one?
Tis blasphemy to put something that says "ford" on it in my holden.
just scrape it off if it worries u that much
My father would disown me, if he hadnt already. haah.
I'm foolin round, bein a jerk with my holden patriotism.... psssshh
Never mind me. Tata.
If you look again it should probally have GM put it in somewhere as well.
i no aye, my 1992 vp berlina has the same light
I noticed it as well, I thought the previous owner changed the light over but I found out he didnt. Its kinda weird.![]()
u will find alot of people do au thermos which is a ford part:P so fords can't be that bad if we use some of there parts:P
Not to mention that you get a few people with older carbied Holdens replacing the GM carburetor with a Webber (Ford) one.

And you think thats bad try looking at something like an Aston Martin that has FoMoCo (Ford Motor Company) stamped on parts![]()
get the **** over it Brin...
hey Rabbit, Ive heard of people doing AU thermos but can I ask why??
well i know on generation 2 commodores the v8 had clutch fans which was powered with the motor so the motor has to run the fan as well as the motor so putting strain on the motor. were as the au thermos are run off the battery freeing the motor up, the twin fans also cover more of the radiator keeping the motor kooler than the single clutch fan. thats the main reasons i have heard of people doing it, i think it also creates room at the front of the engine making the front end of the v8 easyer to work on and with the twin thermos the radiator shroud can be ditched so a bigger cai can be used
