Was going to suggest the extract from aloe vera plant, it really takes the sting out, but no use if you already tried it. Are u sure it was aloe vera u used? as u refered to it as a tree but its not really a tree

If its just a bit on your back lay on your stomach and sleep, take a couple of painkillers and maybe put something cool on it like a damp cool towel. Sounds like its blistering, that happens.

I wouldn't personally be fussed with the hospital I'd just bear with it thats what happens when u get a bad sunburnt u can't sleep, u are sore and itchy and u just have to deal with it. If you are really concerned maybe u have a 24hr medical centre near you?

Go buy banana boat aloe vera spray from woolies, it works a retreat for relief. Just keep spraying it on.

sunburn is no different from any other burn, sadly the damage is done. Keep the area cool using ice in a damp cloth, or just a dam cloth. Aloe etc is only good till the surface is broken, ie blisters pop. Past this point the burn is partial thickness and will heal in time. Not alot can be done for the pain, but applying vitamin E creams to the area may assist to minimise recovery time.
As with any burn to not use fats or oils.

when i was in school, year 10, so about 4 years ago. I got partial thickness burns from the sun to both of my legs. The area was purple and blistered for 3 weeks, only after 5 weeks could i wear pants and shoes without agony. The Doctors said that my burn was only another hour in the sun before nerve damage would have began.

EDIT: make sure that you are not allergic to aloe vera. I am, and if i apply it to unbroken skin then i get a rash, if i apply it to broken skin then i get a rash and the skin wont heal

I can only preach what i was taught when i did my Div 2 nursing. Cant say from experience what the usual persons reactions would be. When i did my course, we were told not to recommend burn creams, so yeah

Being fair skinned, I've had my fair share of nasty sunburns. I find the best after care to be, drink plenty of water. About a 2ltr bottle over a few hours to replenish the moisture your body has lost/is losing. Also, soask teatowels and throw them in the freezer for a few minutes tillk their like cardboard, and lay them over the sunburn. Once the tea-towel gets warm, repeat. (It doesn't take long for them to go warm!) and lastly, once the tea towels start taking a bit longer to warm on your skin, (as you've slowly taken alot of the heat out of the burn) apply plenty of sorbelene cream, or a moisturiser with a high Vitamin E content.

You should feel releif the next day. Good luck. You poor thing.

that aloe vera spray is good, but its only very short lived relief..

what im bout to suggest is more for the first or second night you have the sunburn, it helps take away the sting...

believe it or not... where ever youre burnt, put yoghurt on it, i know what youre thinking, i thought the exact same thing... but you put the yoghurt on, let it sit for a little bit, and then rinse it off with cool water

take it from me, it works! ... just make sure no one around has a camera...

I had that happen a few years back, but over my shoulders and half my back. I just chucked aloe vero on it and put up with the pain and itchiness.....it all blistered and when it was drying out I started picking at it.....got some huge big skin strips....it was only the other day I found them sealed up in a bag in my cupboard lol.

My wife got burnt on Boxing day, we used the aloe gel (leave in fridge nice and cold when you rub it on).. We also tried the cold tea trick, it may work for some, didn't help my wife. (if trying the cold tea, be careful it stains).

    hope it gets better

Go to the chemist and pick up a tube of cream called Paraderm Plus.

Its got an anaesthetic in it, which will take the edge off the stinging.

I've used it on burns before, and also nasty sores that that appeared on my skin after I came into contact with something out on site. Nothing else I tried worked like it.

Wait ten minutes and you will tan up, hang on wait... Maybe thats only me that stays pink for tops an hour then just starts to tan :P I love rubbing that in lol.

I've only got sunburnt once, I sat from sunrise to sunset in a chair fishing and drinking on a 40 degree day. I then laid down caus I was so sore, I started and shaking and couldnt get warm despite my temperature, man was I ****ing scared being up bush, no car, no phone signal, no one else around except my gf at the time.
Where I go camping there are these little plants that retain water, and other crap, we just grab them and squirt out the liquid and no **** it works really well, I do it to people all the time when camping and they cant believe it.

Other then that, all the after sun creams, my ex had a blue one called after sun ice or something like that, and it was pretty good the once I used it, and she loved it everytime she got burnt.
