So yesterday Mum and I were talking about me going to Sydney in a few weeks to see Top Gear Live, and she asked me if I'd heard about these kids who are supposedly in all the capital cities who call themselves "The Lads" or something like that who go around killing people "just because", since they're minors and can't be prosecuted. Now, I have absolutely no idea as to where she pulled this story from, though she does watch ACA and TT (groan)...just wondering if anyone else's heard of this? I Googled it a bit this morning but can't seem to find anything.

Thats what I thought too...especially since she didn't say where she got it from, and since one minute of googling couldn't turn up anything...I'm a tad skeptical of it, hence why I thought I'd post and ask if anyone else has heard of it.

it is true. and no word of a lie, but your mum strecthed it abit, they dont kill people, they just gang up on you, there usually about 15-17 years old, too young to go out to the pub but to cool to have sleep overs.

they are a problem in my area, but i wouldnt worry about them they hang out and maccas and shit like that, oh and skate parks

yeah, when I go to Brisbane or Sydney I tend to spend most of my time in the city itself, and hardly ever go out to the suburbs, never had a bit of trouble apart from a bunch of losers in a club at Brizzy once who thought they could take me on, lol.

Yeah, I thought Mum had exaggerated a bit, she tends to do that lol. If anything they sound like the aboriginal kids a few years back who tried to take me on OUTSIDE A POLICE STATION when I was up in Rocky, lol.

Canterbury pants (up here anyway), stripped collared t-shirts are the dead giveaway and generally their hats on the back of their heads (like a jewish skull cap). Quite a few here... Little kids pretending at being gang bangers.....

Haven't personally had any dramas with em..... up here they mostly hang around the train stations and crash parties.... I don't attend either

Mostly I think its that they think Maccas is "kewl". All I know is that when I was up at Rocky sometimes I'd head out to the Northside Maccas (the one on Yaamba Rd near the uni for those who are curious) at night, and I'd see them all there in the car park, with their fuli sic Excels. lol.
