    Default How to freight wheels?

Hey guys im looking at buying some mags off eBay in a few hours, except their located in melbourne and im in sydney.
What is the most cost efficient way of transporting them from there to here?
I dont mind how long it takes I just want the freight to be as cheap as possible.
I got shown a site called www.smartsend.com.au, has anybody dealt with them before? Any other recommendations?
Also when im applying for a quote can somebody tell me how much a wheel actually weighs? And the dimensions?
They are 18" VY SS Wheels if it makes a difference.

    Cheers.

The big difference is if they have tyres on them, they will be a shitload more expensive.

Mine cost $88 for 4 wheels without tyres from Vic to SA. Not sure on the company, but just try TNT or something.

Really? Shit. They do have tyres on them, smartsend quoted nearly $100 so i guess that sounds fairly reasonable.

Had a look on the boxes, and the company details were still on there if you want to call them.

I used smart send they were very good i got side skirts, boot lip, rear lip and door moulds posted door to door for $55 was very easy to arrange and quick delivery from qld to vic 3 days. Just be careful about one thing you got to put a label on the item so you will need to sent it to teh seller and have him attach it (i did it via email and got him to print it out) otherwise they wont pick it up

I haven't had wheels couriered before but have used pack & send quite a few times before between syd & melb. When we got quotes they were the cheapest and I would highly recommend them www.packsend.com.au We've usd a couple of others and they were ok too, the only one I would steer clear of is TNT, based on a previous experience where they stuffed us around a lot.

I've heard of bad stories with full cars through TNT, what did you have sent? General freight or a car?

nah was actually a basketball hoop/stand, quite a large parcel obviously and they managed to lose it. We had to chase them up for weeks, no one wanted to take or return calls, just gave us the run around. Then when they did find it they kept stuffing us around with delivery dates/times.
