I like what you said about the license test. They should put people on an auto cross to show people what it is like to spin out and all the other advances in driving. Not send them out into the streets because they can turn the steering wheel or change gears correctly.
We used to use cadence braking for Emergency Driving in F100s--works a charm and modifying it for normal driving means gentle pressure on an off as you approach a stopping point means you don't have to brake hard, e.g. coming up to lights. Makes you pads and rotors last that little bit longer.
