i emailed back a nigerian scammer once (despite warnings not to) and the replies were unreal. amazingly long and detailed. I've since replied to others but never get anything back.

I always forward these things on to fraudaid. they'll want the proper email headers etc but it helps them build a case file. I wrote a couple of tutorials for them a couple of years ago and the people there are fairly helpful if you get stuck.
