Thats hardly the coaches fault, were they disabled for believing in religion or truly disabled? Which drongo organised the game? Sounds like a real life The Ringer if you ask me.

Anybody who enters a team of disabled people against able-bodied students is an idiot. Simple fact is, the able-bodied students either play to their own abilities and people bitch and moan, or play to the other teams abilities and it's not a game.

A game is a game, regardless of who plays.

EDIT: Kind of makes me wonder... I read a while ago that instances of teenage self-harm have risen by like 60% since 1990 or something like that. Up until around then, when my generation came into it, it was 'you lose, too bad'. That's when they started bringing in all these measures to 'prevent low self-esteem' and all this bollocks.

It sets people up for low self-esteem when they hit the real world! It screws them over a lot more than it would if they had just left it simple.

re-read the article over on the US ABC site and it mentions they haven't won in 5 years and suffer from 'learning disabilities'. isn't there some kind of mercy rule? 100 to zip is a bollocking. even at 50 - nil call it over and play for the fun of it.

Yeah its called - dont ****ing play. How is it any fault of the coach, or the players that they are put against a team who clearly cannot compete with them and they win? If anything the coach of the loosing team should be fired for subjecting these kids to 5 years of loosing when clearly they cant compete with the other teams.

Obviously the winning team didnt get the memo to throw the game.

I remember getting beaten 86 to 14 in rugby league (and I also remember several similar score lines run up on us......................uggggggggggghhhhhhhh) and we didn't bitch about it.
If you aren't good enough, you don't win, simple, and if you suck, you lose badly, we sucked royal and got hammered accordingly, it was no ****s fault but our own.
Then again we also struggled to field a starting 13, often playing with 10 to 11 in a 17 man game, there were games where we played ****ing excellent and only lost because of numbers, but there were games where we could have had 34 players on the field and still got nailed, that was our problem, it was not the other teams obligation to show mercy, one offered to take 2 players off to make it 11 on 11 when they were ahead 50 to 0, we declined, mercy is for the weak.

That school should be ashamed, if you put in a crap team, or don't have a big talent base, expect to get arse kicked, and expect it without mercy.
