HMVS Cerberus Wreck - Diving

What can you guys tell me about the wreck of HMVS Cerberus?

Planning on going spear fishing around it this weekend.

Apparently its fairly stable and was put there as a breakwater...

On google maps I can see the water current going around the bay side of it... so thats obviously to try and avoid getting into.

Anyone know much about it?

im pretty sure youre not allowed within 25m of the wreck. its heritage listed or some thing equally gay. good choice of location. i'm planning to take the uni boys for a rip near there before un kicks back in.

yeah... i'm trying to read up as much as possible on it... some sites are saying how good it is to snorkel but no fish, others are saying there is fish and then others again saying your not allowed near it because it's unstable.

I'll keep hunting...
