I used to be a customer of a company here called "COMMANDER"

I once received a final bill of $0.09 for a service I disconnected. I was not allowed to pay via BPAY because the amount was too small.

I called and requested a payment plan and they refused. I was sent all sorts of demand letters for a bill I couldn't pay.

They stopped calling in the end (they went broke). I wonder why?

I've seen a better one... a statement for $0.00 but a bill for $1.00 for sending out the statement haha.

i looked into it a bit more, because the guy who had the problem made a whole blog about it.

first they offered him half price on the bill (still ~$35 more than he shoulda paid), then they credited his account the full amount.
then he called back later and found they were still quoting the false rate.

similar - friend of ours used 0 litres of water (due to tank) and still got the bill, obviously for connections etc. which is ok.

The note on the bill said something to the tune of "to reduce your water use and meet suggested targets here are some water saving tips....."

Something like that anyway. Silly.

Yeah, I checked that out after I posted too. ****ing mind boggling how none of the reps could figure out 0.002c does NOT equal $0.002, especially after he explained it like 20 times in kindergarten terms

"you get that 1c is not the same as $1 right?"

"so you get that half a cent isn't the same as half a dollar right?"

I saw one yesterday for $100,380.00 for one month of consumer use, $100,000 was for one item....

That item??? was a NOKIA handsfree kit..... that was offered free of charge.... lols
