The Missus & The Car.
As some of you may know, I recently had a 2.5" sports exhaust installed.
The other day, the missus and I were driving back from Ballarat and I was going on about how loud it was and how loud I wanted it. Then I started ranting on about how nice it would be to own a V8.
She asked me what the sound was coming from the exhaust and why it was loud.
I replied by saying that when the cylinders fire it created a bang which in turn, turns the crank in the engine.
She then looked all shocked and asked me,"What??? Theres fire in the engine"
I then stated to her... thats why we need fuel to burn ect....
She yelled at me to pull the car over on the highway insisting the car was'nt safe because theres fire in the engine.
Anyways... Do you think people should be more educated about how an engine works?
Should they warn women like this in the owners manual... (Caution! Car may contain fire.)

If you put a fire extinguisher in the car will she feel safer?

Semantics aside, what you are suggesting is totally different though. We're talking about someone using something probably daily and not realising what the fundamental components create.
You are talking about something that will be superseded and obsolete which o course will be a difficult concept to grasp. It'd be like talking about the old metho 'photocopying' machines.....

I do this sometimes too, come out with silly things about cars, We have been together 6 years and i know so much about cars now. Being with a mechanic, i got no choice. Trust me in a fes years shell be under your bonnet working for her self!
