how can you not steal a VN? you jam play-doh in the ignition barrel and turn and you have youself a new VN.
When my car was stolen last year, the bent the steering wheel to take the club lock off, and somehow drove all around Penrith with the steering column hanging out of the knuckle.. All I can say is she must have handled well!!
Not to mention, the driver would have had to HOLD the drivers door closed whist he was driving it...Stupid theives!!
A few months ago I had my defected unregistered unplated R31 Skyline parked out on the street for a bit while another car was in my shed being worked on. I live on a quiet side road in a good part of town and the neighbors all knew it was my car so I didn't think anyone would care.
Go away for a while and I come back to find someone had messed up the drivers' door lock, smashed the immobiliser out of its socket and had obviously tried to screwdriver the ignition barrel.
The doors were unlocked.
The Windows were open.
The top half of the plenum, intake manifold and fuel rail were on the front passenger seat.
There was no battery.

It's as if society expects me to act like a cockmongler when I'm driving the Commodore. People always look at me weird when I go the speed limit, or indicate for more than 2.5 clicks or accelerate moderately off the lights... wtf
Lol yehhh, with my old VL i used to park in on ym front lawn unlocked with the key in the ignition... Never had a problem untill one day i was just down the road from a mates one night and I came out of hes house car unlocked, key in the ignition with a smashed rear quarter panel????? Nothing taken.
And today. I work in Newcastle. I parked my car and I was on the phone, I completely forgot to wind the window up. So all day my car was in a car park with the window down. Lucky nothing was taken.

My dad's work car got broken into a couple of years ago, they smashed the back window and grabbed a bag full of ~$2000 worth of tools, and the laptop. Dopey sods did it in Fortitude Valley in Brisbane. Not stupid in itself, however running into Chinatown, where there are cops 24/7, was not the greatest ideaTools and laptop promptly returned.
lucky u got it back all my stuff is mia
