Underbody neon lights!!

is the neon light under ur car legal in sydey? can anyone give me an confirmed anwer for that? cuz my friend has a blue one under hes car and he said he got caught a few times driving on the street, so is there any other colour illegal? thanks~~

hello, yes undercar neons are illegal, and any light with red or blue are illegal (trust me) (except for the stop/tail lights) i learnt from my bad experiance.

Correct. Blue lights are not allowed, and red lights can only be rear-facing and operate as brake/tail lights.

As for other colours, it depends on the state, and I think it may have been changed in the last few years so I'm not sure. To my knowledge it is not allowable to have any underbody lighting on while the car is moving. However, I have heard other things on here, such as it is legal to have them but you must not be able to see the light sources themselves, only the light they put out. Supposedly that's the cas even when parked.

Ultimately it comes down to the cops discretion, because if there's nothing technically making it illegal and they want to fine you, they will find something to fine you for. Having neons is a risk regardless of how legal you think it is.

No that was me actually. Didnt mean for that post to offend it wasnt a refrence to homosexuals, more just an point that neons belong on scrap metal being imported from china. Dont ruin your holden... But hey thats just me (and most of this forum)
