Its simple if thats their attitude... Go else where.
If I was treated like that I would first look around find a better deal and then cancel the policy.

Then make sure the media finds out so that they can let the public know what a miserable attitude the company has towards young drivers.

I tried to get a comprehensive insurance quote with Allianz and they refuse to insure me based on the fact that I'm under 30 (I'm 29) and my engine is an L67. Even though it's bog stock standard from the factory and I have a clean driving record with 65% NCB. Even their green slips are the most expensive there is.

Really all insurance companies are only after $$$$. I am with Nrma and have not had any real dramas with them, premiums are cheaper. Only problem was i had a ding in my magna and they took like 3weeks to tell me they weren't going to fix it as a repair had already been done in the same spot by a previous owner. It was around xmas time so i spose alot of repair shops were probably closed etc. But yeah if they knew from the start that they can't repair old repairs then why wait 3weeks to pay out?

Can you cancel an insurance Policy? They were the cheapest for me by $300

How would you go about something like that? I don't want to **** them off too much because I am financed with them for the next 3 years.

Most policies you can cancel at any time and you'll get back what you haven't used. Just ring and ask OR read their PDS. That's what it's printed for. Insurance and finance being two different things even if with the same company.

from the Allianz guy's comments, it seems that they are probably losing money on under 25s, can't charge them extra due to some sort of legislation that i haven't heard of, and would be very happy if their under 25 drivers went to another insurance company.

it's a dangerous tactic though, as they might stay with the other insurance company of course.

I'm 31 now. I have a house, boat and four cars. At renewal time I remember every insurance company who has knocked me back over the years because of my age.

Funnily enough the insurance companies who have looked after me over the years are still cheaper than the supposed, "We don't insure bad risks so the good risks really save companies."

really makes that others companys ad seem truer.
the one where the 3 old bastards are arguing about how they can charge the guy/girl more.
probably not that good an ad if i can't remember who it's for, but it seems fairly realistic if this is who's really in charge of insurance companies
