oOk guys and girls heres whats what in my world.........i have got a vp (now running well thanx to all that helped) so now i have a vn 88 calise sittin in my back yard the interior is in imaculate condition,, rear damage but not real bad (photos will be added as soon as i learn how) Now i was gunna fix her up and modify the engine just a little but i have also been offered a running vl in good nic so here is what i see as my options
1 stck to plan and do up calis
2put interior from calis to vp(colur that red burgandy colour) and clean up vl
oh and the calis engine is gunna need an overhaul please help need advice and opinions please
calise would be good but the vl is a sexy lady
Agreed!! ^^^
Is the calais a 5 litre?? If it is...
Clean up the VL as best and cheapest you can, sell it to fund the rebuild / kit on the calais motor, and swap everything over to the VP, then you wont be too much out of pocket, and have a clean VP calais (mokka)
Unless someone else has a better idea??
What motors in the VL??
ok guys sorry i wasnt clear but my daily drive is the vp the calais (88) was a donner car for the engine (vp engine died) a freind has offered me the vl. hope that clears it up lol
but so far im getting that i shoul just do up the calais its only a six
not sure what motor is in the VL

Go with the vp calias,if the vl is just a base model dont waste your money on it ,as for the motor just pick a cheap Vp series 2- vr and swap the running gear or hunt around for another vp- vr calias that needs a tidy up and swap your gear out of the old one
ok sorry again guys
VP is my daily drive has the vn motor in it(asidefrom intake)
vn calais was the donner car
VL is the car that has been offerd to me
was gunna rebuild the dead vp motor and put in vn calais do up calais body (new paint etc) or swap interior from vn calais to vp then buy VL and do that up
Put the calais bits in your VP, you may as well drive around daily in comfort and clean the VL up, sell it and put the money towards buying someones unfinished project. Sometimes most of the hard work has already been done and it just needs a little more to finish.
so dont do up calais buy vl then sell vl then buy a another project
all good guys ill just do up the calais and not worry about buying the VL
check that nothings been bent or cracked like the chassis rails on the calais before you spend too much time on it, but as you said the damage isnt that bad.
chassis is cracked grrrrrrr not by much but shes bent looks like i transfer everything to the vp.........at least ill be comfy every day thanks all for ya advise
