I thought they were auctioning the whole car. Silly me.

Just got notified we got 5 hot-laps at phillip island in the toll supercar as part of our sponsorship. Woot

I had a hotlap with garth tander last year and he didn't even say a word. not very friendly.

Id say you would be able to just ask for a copy of their paperwork that it is in fact going to charity...

But could it get technical? You're not donating directly to charity? You're buying an item and then the person that sells it is then donating?

You'd be better off donating 10 thousand in your name I'd say, who wants a broken fender?

Yea it does count for tax, well not sure about ebay, but been to plenty of charity auctions at casino etc, which went through as donations with tax man.
