The man was beaten even after he handed over the backpack that appeared to be the motive behind the gang-attack.

Transit detective Mark Sontag said he believed even the trio’s mates and family would not hesitate to turn them in, given the nature of the assault, the Herald Sun reports.

The disturbing footage shows the slightly-built youth’s head bouncing on the concrete walls of the underpass as he is kicked time and time again by three men of African appearance, even after slumping to the ground unconscious.

Afterwards, one of the attackers appears to clap his hands in what appears to be a celebration of the sickening assault.

“Even the perpetrators families’ would be disgusted by this,” he said.

Police said there was nothing of real value in the victim’s bag.

According to the police the unemployed Sunshine man was kicked unconscious and left for dead in the Sunshine Railway Station underpass at 12.10am on Tuesday morning.

The victim initially tried to ignore the three attackers as they tried to engage him in conversation on the train and the platform, before surrounding him and knocking him to the ground.

“This is a pretty appalling attack on a vulnerable young man who was by himself at the Sunshine railway station,” Sen-Constable Sontag said

My mrs is currently going through some issues with 3 of these Sudanese. 3 students, none talk english, none of the parents talk english, they are uncontrollable, they are violent. Why should we allow these types into our schools to ruin the education of other children? No english no entry...surely it isnt that hard?

I'm not sure about a method of prevention, but a fantastic method of punishment would be to weed the dregs of society out and leave them on their own. See what happens then. Dump them on an island somewhere, let them fight each other for their lives. That being, if you did that you'd just end up with a second Australia lol.

I agree if you don't speak understandable English then you are not welcome.
Also shops with signs out the front that have both English and another language are pathetic too, simply have all English signage and you would find suddenly immigrants could speak English well.

That kind of puts the limits on international visitors too though. Although I do think you should at least try to learn some of the language of the country you're going to be in, all english signage might make things more difficult than necessary for travellers.

Still, I agree. To be an Australian citizen, you should be required to speak fluent english. Otherwise you're just a social drain.

Makes the front page of the paper down here. Difference is, it isn't generally imported trouble. We can't handle the trouble in this country as it is, why bring in more? Sudanese haven't integrated too well anywhere, no idea why the powers that be figured they could make it work.

I worked with about 6 'aussies' who were happy to rip the system off! Not really a good comparison!

These kids have no concept of right or wrong - they have no fear of consequence either. And while there are many that are good law abiding citizens as a percentage it is not worth it to bring these people to Australia and its easiest to draw the line with accept none of them. We have enough problems with our own homegrown ****wits.

I volunteered tutoring in Springvale (had a few Sudanese kids) and there were some real good kids amongst them but it was so saddening to see the influence exerted from their dero wannabe american gangster mates.

Not the first time these scum have attacked someone at sunshine and wont be the last.

Happens on a nearly daily basis, we have 3 - 4 people who finish work around 11pm-12am who catch the train/bus home from sunshine and nearly every week one of them see's someone get beat up or gets mugged themselves, sunshine station is a no-go after 9-10pm as a gang of 30-40 Sudanese hang around till 3-4 in the morning causing trouble.

Lets hope these 3 get caught and go to jail to get some of that treatment back

Well noted, I have been involved in migrant related discussions recently.
It just annoys the shit out of me when I hear of these types of stories.

We accept them into our country for a new start and all we get is a kick in the face.

I am also aware of white Australians with fraudulent claims, it is common place among the dregs of society.
The point I was trying to make however is these people are accepted into the country either as citizens or non citizens, on the basis that they respect our laws,values our way of life ect.
You would think given that fantastic opportunity they would do everything in their power to abide by the laws of the land.Most of those that do the wrong thing are well aware of what they are doing and could'nt give a stuff, even though we have accepted them with open arms.
None of that sits well with me.
