Ford Escort me to a Holden dealer.

I'm sorry, how is this a Holden Special Vehicle? Maybe it's time for HSV to do a Nissan GT-R (strip the meaning, take on the abbreviation). It does look like an interesting read but unless it's based on a vehicle Holden is selling domestically then it's not really a Holden any more (they've been playing with BMW technology haven't they?). They started off modifying Commodores.
I'll admit it looks good.
hahahahahahahhahahahahha
I didnt think it was possible for holden to produce an uglier car than a VL, guess I was wrong if this concept is anything to go by.

I don't know if this is a real HSV design or not (haven't read the article) but one thing I do know is that Holden and likely HSV know what they're 2015 models will look like, after all the VN design was finalised in 1983 and each model leading up to it made the shape less of an impact (VK adding C pillar window, VL adding smaller headlights and styling). The VE was finalised by 2001 (the external visual styling). I'm sure in 2001 the design of the VE would be foreign, and very much like a chubby overgrown Astra - note how the VY with it's more angular styling and the VZ with it's larger grill lead into the VE design?
It's all about progression. If you were to somehow see a car design from the year 2015 it would look foreign to you - unrecognisable as to what it's meant to be and how it belongs. Sometimes the predicted designs are spot on for their intended market (the VT) and others it's pretty far off (AU Falcon - "edge styling").
Then again it's probably just a magazine rendering which is far fetched. God I wish I could find the renderings of previous models before they came off - there were some classics like the VT with peanut headlights.

NEW RIDE VX BERLINA 5.7
I like it. Will it see the light of day...that's another matter entirely with the GFC. I agree with the progression of models. I really noticed it from VY to VE.
Reminds me of an Audi R8.
Looks shit house, Minux hit the nail on the head... but id say the vk also is ugly.
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
all cars are ugly they hurt the environment , kill innocents and give us blokes fake egos
Fark thats ugly.
Even Lexus manages to make their hybrids much less offensive to the eyes.
An Audi R8 shits all over that in the looks department, and predictably, the build quality department when/if this abortion makes production.
Looks like a Lambo Diablo and a Nissan 350 had a head on and crunched together.
In other words, it looks shithouse.
no one would have specs on it because it was a sketch, i remember seeing it in another magazines design awards late last year.
like its been said, holden and hsv will pretty much know what the 2015 car is gonna look like, mainly because it will be like the vt was to the vs and the ve was to the vz (a complete re-design)
Chev badges are an instant fail
Looks more like a super car than anything.
I still prefer it than the current crop of black plastic fantastics that HSV are drumming out (senator excluded).
if i had to drive a gas/electric car i'd pick that for sure
Ugly, gross.
Do not want.
